A palace for an affordable price! Great food, chats and travel advice (alongside a bit of life advice!) Huge beds, clean bathroom.

We booked quite last minute and arrived in the evening, we were picked up and welcomed with a traditional Sri Lankan meal cooked by the amazing nana Nandi. The rooms are clean and the surroundings beautiful and quiet (apart from the beautiful nature sounds). Sudesh the owner is super helpful and tries to accommodate you in every need (from a Kandy tour, tuktuk service, or help by choosing a taxi driver, to a nice chat with a beer). The family has a lovingly warmth which makes you feel welcomed and at ease. We stayed here with our kids, but I would also recommend it to couples without. The fact that there are (almost) daily cooking classes makes it easy to meet people. To summarize: a recommendation from my heart! We will meet again <3

Our hosts were the kindest people. I felt like I was at home with my own mum I was so well looked after. We had a delicious breakfast every morning and they even invited us to sit and have a drink with their friends they had over one evening. They provided so much information and helpful advice throughout our stay. This stay is a must if you are looking for somewhere that feels like home.

This place is amazing and decorated with taste, it’s like heaven, the owners Chana and Moon are just amaaaazing, sooo helpful and lovely, it’s really a place where you feel home far from home, you can ask them also for a tuktuk if your are staying for few days and want to see everything in a short time, I was with Gihan for 3 days and this driver is just a gem, except the fact that he knows, he is also kind and a very good photographer hahahahha, so if you are passing by Kandy, I definitely recommend villa olde for the stay and gihan for visiting around ❤️, thank you all for making my stay unforgettable that exceeded my expectations

It was one of the nicest stay in Sri Lanka so far. Our room was very clean, new and cozy with a comfortable bed and it had an entrance to shared terrace which had a good view of the town. The location was great too, 5min from the centre by tuktuk for 200 rupees, and it is a quiet zone, away from traffic. The hosts were super friendly and nice. Breakfast was traditional which is the only place that gave us traditional food for breakfast (and they packed us the breakfast to go for a train as we had a 8 o’clock train).

Great location not far from town centre, bus station, railway station etc. nestled in a leafy area away from the chaos of town. We watched the squirrels and birds from the balcony while eating breakfast. Siraj was a fantastic host. Best pancakes and fruit platter. He was very friendly and helped us answer our questions about Kandy. PickMe and Uber work well here too.

GORGEOUS location!! It is a bit hard going up and down the mountain but the staff helped order rides when needed. Super comfortable bed, clean room and bathroom. Such a nice family too!

Always wearing a bright smile, they are attentive, efficient, and ever so helpful. Whether you need guidance on local sightseeing or just a chat about life in Kandy, they're there for you, making sure every moment of your stay is comfortable and joyous. The Grove's pièce de résistance has to be its breathtaking swimming pool. Positioned in a way that seems to merge with the horizon, swimming here feels like floating amidst the clouds. Offering views that are second to none, this pool is a slice of paradise where the water mirr Now, let's talk about the breakfast. In a word, it's spectacular. The flavors, the presentation, the freshness – everything was spot on. Waking up to such a scrumptious spread amidst the cool hill breeze and a panoramic view of Kandy's undulating landscapes is a memory I'll cherish for years. Though The Grove is a tad removed from the city's chaos, that's precisely its charm. The tranquil ambiance and the breathtaking hill views serve as a perfect antidote to the frenzied pace of urban life. In conclusion, if there's one place in Kandy where luxury meets nature and warmth meets wonder, it's The Grove. I wholeheartedly recommend staying here; it's worth every penny, and then some.
