From the moment we arrived, we were greeted not just as guests, but truly as friends. The warmth and hospitality of Sudesh’s family made this one of the most memorable stays of our trip. The food was absolutely delicious – all home-cooked meals prepared with love by the owner’s family, and every bite felt like a taste of authentic Sri Lankan home life. The guesthouse is located a little outside the busy town of Kandy, which turned out to be a big plus – peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by nature, making it a perfect retreat after a day of sightseeing. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the entire atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. We left with full hearts (and stomachs!), and we would return in a heartbeat. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a genuine and heartwarming stay in Kandy!

The owners are super kind, they helped us in managing different requests. Room had a cozy balcony and the room was clean and comfortable. Delicious homemade breakfast. The swimming pool is definitely a plus. I recommend to stay at Villa Olde Ceylon, if felt like home.

Beautiful, elevated location with a breathtaking view down on to the lake and the mountains. In the evening you can see a lit white Buddha statue and a temple, together with the lights of all the houses. Extremely clean. Very nice forniture and a comfortable big bed. The traditional Sri Lanka breakfast was large and delicious. The lady was extremely nice and even made a package with what I couldn’t eat from the breakfast and I could have a tasty takeaway snack on the train from Kandy to Ella. I loved everything!

The room is very nice, comfortable and clean! There’s hot water and shampoo and body wash provided. Towels are really good. The balcony has nice view. Breakfast has lots of choices and it was really yummy. The owner is so kind and helpful in anything you need. He even took us to rent the scooter. Best accommodation I’ve stayed in all Sri Lanka!
