A nice big room with a comfortable bed and views out over the outskirts of the town and onto the tea plantations. There's also a common area with sofa and dining table. Breakfast that was included in the room price was good typical Sri Lankan. I also had an evening meal on both nights which was ok and saved me going into town but wasn't great if I'm honest. Location is around 15 minutes walk to Lovers Leap waterfall. And there's a bus stop a few minutes walk away where buses are every few minutes and cost 35 rupees in to the town centre.

Sanjay arranged us a tuktuk from the Nanuoya train station, was always in touch with us even before we came. Then he welcomed us with some tea and ginger cookies. We liked them so much that my husband asked for more and Sanjay brought them immediately. We had a very delicious lunch there which his wife cooked for us. We also had dinner there and they asked what we would like to have. I asked a vegetable salad and my husband had kottu, everything very delicious. Even their children made sure we had a lovely time there, I was deeply touched by this hospitality. It felt like I was visiting my family. Be aware that it’s a bit cold in the evening at that area but we had a good sleep with warm blankets. There’s hot water in the shower and the bathroom itself was clean. They also recommended that we hike to the waterfall and even a cafe in Ella. He also explained us how to get to Unawatuna from Ella

My husband and I had a lovely stay at this beautiful place. The owners are incredibly friendly and thoughtful and have done everything they can to make your stay perfect. Everything was perfect: The entire house is 100% spotless, the breakfast is plentiful and good, the shower is hot! We even had our own little sitting area just outside the room (nice to sit there if it is raining). The owner has a tuk tuk and offer rides at very fair rates. It is easy walking distance to Lover’s Leap waterfall and nice walks around the tea estate, otherwise a walk or tuk tuk ride into the center. If I could give this a higher rating I would!

Absolutely fantastic experience! My stay at Dhammika's guesthouse was a true highlight of my trip to Sri Lanka and I regret not being able to stay longer. Dhammika's hospitality is truly exceptional. He picked me up from the train station late in the evening, drove me to Adam's Peak trail starting point at 2 am, organized a very authentic tea fields tour, arranged a driver for me, and even gave me recommendations for a safari for the next leg of my journey. He really took care of everything! The guesthouse itself is lovely. My room was spacious, clean, and offered a stunning view of the surrounding tea fields and the lake. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful, and the warmth and friendliness of Dhammika's family made staying there a pleasure. The area is breathtakingly beautiful and Dhammika's guesthouse is the perfect base to explore it from. I can't recommend this place highly enough!

Rajith (the host) and his sister made us feel very welcome, they went out of the way to accomodate us. Place is very clean and comfortable. Breakfast and dinner tasted so genuine and delicious!
