Savets homestay is outside of the main city of Battembang. It is a very beautiful property and I felt like I was in the jungle. The bed was comfortable and the room was cozy. His friend drove me around for a half day tour and then we met up later with some other guests. It was a very memorable experience. If you have the chance take it. The room is clean and spacious. Bun is a really nice guy who speaks very good English and organizes a very fun tour. His family is very kind as well and you can borrow his bike(s). Waking up in the morning to such a beautiful view made me feel like I was living a simple, peaceful lifestyle—it really helped heal my soul. Another great thing is that they can also teach you how to make traditional Khmer dishes! Plus, the rooms and bathrooms are clean and well-maintained. If you're looking for a relaxing, authentic Cambodian experience, Battambang Eco Stay is the place to be.

If you want to escape the bustling of the city and experience rural Cambodian life, look no further. This homestay is truly peaceful and within walking distance to the Batcave. The hut is of course a bit rustic but very charming, and the bed is quite comfortable! The hosts even prepares vegan breakfast and dinner (small extra charge) for us, including fruit from the garden, and we had a communal dinner with the other guests and the owner. The owner was always kind and helpful and we had wonderful conversations. Truly a place to unwind and experience Cambodian rural life. Free water and refills.

They really take the time to talk to you and if you are lucky you even get to have dinner with the whole family (they also cook veggie if needed). Since we were leaving very early they provided us with a great early breakfast to go. Taking the tuk tuk tour with Harry (brother) is also recommended.
