This is a small paradise on earth run by honest, hard-working and kind people who truly care about you as a guest. They built the traditional Khmer guesthouse themselves with bamboo. It is surrounded by a tropical garden and has everything you need for a pleasant stay: a mosquito net, sockets in each corner (including next to the kingsize bed), multiple electric fans, a brand-new bathroom with a shower that produces hot water immediately (which is rare in Cambodia), and toiletries such as shampoo, shower gel, toothpaste, and toothbrushes. Furthermore, the WIFI was super fast! The host picks you up at a location of your choice and when you leave, he can take you to your preferred location. During my stay, he suggested an incredible restaurant that was surprisingly cheap for the quality of food, drove me there and picked me up. The highlight of my stay was the tour that the host offered. We drove to local villages that are rarely visited by tourists and took a ride on the famous bamboo train. It was an authentic and unforgettable experience. In short, I highly recommend Odambang Village Homestay. By staying here, you support a local family and you will create unforgettable memories that will last a lifetime.

I stayed here for two nights and had a really good time. The place is very nice to hang out. I spent a lot of time with Pisey, the host. She’s the most lovely person. She took me to the local market one morning and we went for nice walks in the rice fields around. She made me feel at home and did everything to make me enjoy my stay as much as possible and was happy to tell me some stories of her life. Exceptional! I would definitely come back :)

We loved staying at the Family Bat Cave Homestay! Escaro is a wonderful host, he and his family are very welcoming. His wife made delicious food and Esaro arranged a fantastic day and evening tour for us. We were lucky enough to be there on the last day of the New Year celebration in which we joined the community celebration. The accomodations are rustic and just what we were looking for. Highly recommend a stay here is you are looking for a unique Cambodia experience. Esaro’s partner, whose name I can’t remember now, brought us to so many interesting places and shared a lot of information with us. He was also ready with cold water all day for us. Very nice host, he cooked for us delicious breakfast, helped with finding a local guide to visit the city. The place is very quiet, in the great outdoors.

The hospitality, kindness and availability of the hosts Anut and John made our stay perfect. They offer to share their breakfast with them at the local market and they make us discover the daily life of the Khmers in Battambang. They have their hearts on their sleeve and provide support to the surrounding populations. Anut is a very good cook and we loved tasting her great dishes. Little bonus on the last evening with a nice karaoke in the company of John. Thank you again for this stay, we will recommend you to all those who go to Battambang.

What an exceptional stay! Being my first time in Cambodia, I was a little bit hesitant as the price is very low in my opinion but wow! I was blown away by the whole setup of this place, the beds are super comfortable, the space inside the bungalow is immaculately clean, you literally have everything that you need. It’s certainly worth asking in advance about breakfast options, there are also other meal options available. The host offers tours and he is one of the nicest people that I have met in my time here, you feel like part of his family, he is so respectful and great to communicate with. The homestead is just on the outskirts of Battambang with less than a $2 ride away from the centre which is just fantastic! I will definitely be back when I come back to visit.

If you’re looking for a real taste of Cambodian life, Lazy Mango Homestay is the perfect place for you! I spent 4 amazing days with Harry and his family. Lazy Mango is a great spot: close to the city center but located in a local neighborhood in Battambang, where everyone greets you with a smile. I stayed in one of the two outdoor bungalows. It’s simple and basic, but very comfortable, with both a fan and air conditioning to keep cool. What I enjoyed the most was the outdoor courtyard, a shared space with the super kind and welcoming hosts. They always made sure I had fresh water, fruit, or a taste of local food! In the evenings, you can order dinner from Harry’s sister. The food is tasty, and the portions are big. Sharing meals with the family was one of the best parts of my stay! The Wi-Fi is another big plus: it works really well. I was able to work comfortably in the courtyard, sitting in the shade with the fan on. I’m so happy I chose to stay at this homestay. I made beautiful memories and had experiences that I wouldn’t have had at a regular hotel. Thank you, Harry and family! I wish you all the best and lots of good luck!

Great location, close to Central market. Off the street behind a restaurant so it was quiet at night. Had a great trip to bamboo train and bat cave with Panha - highly recommended!

Amazing homestay. Lovely family atmosphere and super friendly team. Rooms are great - simple, clean and value for money. Location - 15min walk to Center of town or $1 tuk tuk. Breakfast decent value. Highly recommend this place
