What made our stay truly special though was Hitomi, the manager of the guest house. Her warm, friendly welcome made us feel at home straight away. Hitomi organised luggage transfer for our next day of hiking so we didn't have to carry our big backpacks. We had the most wonderful 6 course dinner that night where Hitomi carefully explained all the local produce and the dishes being served. Thank you Hitomi, you made our stay in Chikatsuyu so very memorable, it will be one of the highlights of our Japan trip, we feel lucky to have been able to stay with you 😊 Also important to know... Nonagase guest house has a really nice beer garden out the back where you can enjoy local craft beers and produce in a very relaxed atmosphere 😊
