The host was so welcoming, she prepared a dinner for us (asked if we are interested in it) and introduced us to the music, dance and singing from the region. We talked and learned a lot :) the room was big and comfortable, the view and singing of the birds in the morning made the day brighter :)

If you want to go out of the beaten path and explore the rural side of Japan, this is absolutely the best place!

We ate together, chatted together, they told me all the best onsen and restaurants around the house. They were so kind, it’s hard to describe. The house was cleaned and functional and there are a lot of onsen and restaurants at a walking distance from there. I stayed one more day just to be around those people more. The oweners have such a warm welcome and friendly! It's location is great to travel around temples in Hiraizumi! The facility is so clean and Japanese tatami room was so cozy! Moreover, the breakfast was so delicious!

The communal areas were really comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you could possibly want - including lovely pottery. The host was extremely helpful and caring. Only 5 minutes walk from the station and 15 minutes to convenience stores. This would make an ideal base for trips to Hirazumi, the gorge, and the Goishi Coast - I really wish I had stayed longer.

There is only one shower in the facility, so there is a booking system to reserve your shower slot.

Nice draught beer! Shower in room with a shared hot bath that could be booked for free. There's a ski/boot room in the basement that opens onto the slope. The decor is a bit dated but in a very charming way.
