Guesthouse Kinari was exceptional and we are so thankful we had the opportunity to stay at this lovely space. It also serves as a center for the community children and also persons with disabilities to gather, and spaces like this are so important for the community as everyone is able to use the space. The room we stayed in was also really comfortable and spacious, with great beds and a big toilet that comes with a bathtub! The entire facility is yours and in the morning, people from the community also gather in the facility and we even got to enjoy the loveliest breakfast of onigiri and miso soup together. The owner also provided a personal guide of places to see in the neighbourhood that was really insightful. I cannot stress how grateful we are to have been able to stay here and we are so thankful to the people who continue to work so hard at Guesthouse Kinari so that everyone can feel right at home at this space. Thank you again!

This was a truely unique experience, the highlight of our trip to Japan. Masako welcomed us with beautiful hospitality, kindness and made us feel right at home. To have her cook a traditional dinner , using locally sourced fresh ingredients was incredible. The rice, I’ll never forget eating that perfectly cooked organic rice grown next to the field where we were staying. If you want a relaxing, very unique Japanese experience in the most spectacular surrounds, I can’t recommend Masako and Tanada House enough!

The location was quiet, in the middle of a residential area so it was very quiet at all times, there was a convenience store about 10mins walk away. The guesthouse was very spacious with a living room, dining room and sitting room on the main floor. There were 2 bathrooms and 2 showers and all very clean!

The owners were so friendly and caring! It was such a lovely experience staying with them! If you want to have a relaxing day in a countryside area and just want to experience the laid back life there I recommend you to stay there. Besides it's not far to go to lake biwa by a little walking and to go to imazu to catch a ferry to chikubu Island.
