In addition, the location of the guesthouse in ideal as you can walk to many places such as the famous tree, the library and the onsen itself. Also, the room is spacious and the bed is comfy. It was very relaxing, and the house was convenient and clean. Yuki had renovated his grandmothers house with good taste, it was modern but with tradition. It was nice to sink feet into the onsen water foot bath on the deck after walking around the peaceful surroundings. Yuki gave us also good information about area and was very kind as a host. We enjoyed our visits to the Youyu-an Onsen and Noah’s Coffee House where you can drink coffee grown in the Kirishima area. We could have stayed longer! Greetings from two Finnish ladies

Loved this beautiful property - so unusual and stunning, with great views of Sakurajima. The rooms are super comfortable and cosy, and the shower is nice and hot with good water pressure. The host was very kind and attentive and made me feel at home. There was a little packed breakfast including fresh GF muffins waiting for me in the morning which I took on my adventures up Sakurajima. The location is on a beach a little further out of the town area, but there are buses and it’s an easy walk too if you want or need to get home later than the bus timetable. I walked both nights I stayed and it was a lovely end to the evening (and helps with digestion!). There is a Joyful, 7/11, and a Starbucks that open until night time or early hours just over the road if you need something local to ride you over. Loved my stay here and would return.
