Where to start… This was without exaggeration the best stay we had so far in Japan! The room was excellent, with amazing view and the area was quiet but still walking distance to everything. Kevin was so kind, from before our trip until the very last minute. You can feel the Japanese hospitality the second you get in contact with Kevin. He even offered us a ride to the station with all our heavy luggage’s while he has a busy schedule. We also checked in earlier, our room was ready at 11:00, and we could check out at 12:00. This was luxury to us. We didn’t even ask for it but it was very welcome to say the least since we were a bit sick and jet lagged from our first days in Japan 😊. This whole experience exceeded way beyond our expectations! Wish we stayed longer in Kyoto. Arigato gozaimasu Hatsune Guesthouse 🙏🏼

The inn and the room is very homey (cozy and comfortable). The hostess Emiko is really attentive and friendly, and gives great recommendations. The breakfast is delicious.

Wonderful little hotel with amazing rooms like tiny apartments with everything you need..kitchen, washing machine, comfy beds, little things provided like coffee, tee, detergent, slippers, shower gel,...very nice staff...about 10min walking from train station...on the way there we saw one street with so many little restaurants...gion is quite a walk about 40min but we enjoy seeing the city like this...very clean, really highly recommended

The tea and coffee that were included were nice. The room itself was nice and spacious. Beds are comfortable and the hotel is fairly close to transit.

Everything was great. The shared living room may be a little small but the bedroom was big enough and comfortable for two people. The bed and blanket were clean and very comfy. They even had a foot massage machine. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. They could recommend some nice places to visit and the place was close to a famous market. I will definitely stay here if I go to Kyoto again!

The owner is so friendly and accomodating. He offered to pick us up from the station and even gave us a lift to the station to go to Arashimaya. I've loved this guesthouse so much that I stayed for 1 more night.
