This is a beautiful traditional (restored) Japanese house. Exceptionally spacious and comfortable for two people. The balcony at first floor and patio area with sun loungers to the rear were nice for relaxing at breakfast time and in the afternoon sun after a day out to Mount Aso. The highlight however was the optional barbecue evening meal in the impressive annexe. The host couple were incredibly kind and helpful and the meal was out of this world. The annexe building also has some impressive TV/audio facilities. It was a very memorable stay and we would thoroughly recommend staying here.

It's like being in a fantasy world. Everything is designed with love and looks beautiful. In every room you discover more beautiful details. I was allowed to check in much earlier and thus arrived in time for the fireworks festival. The reception was very friendly and helpful. I felt very comfortable. I can highly recommend it. I wish I could have stayed longer.
