We had such a lovely stay at Aisho Hojo! The place is perfect for families or group gatherings. Its spacious, cozy, and beautifully made entirely of wood, which gives it a warm and natural feel. The shower and bath area were super clean and relaxing, just what we needed after a long day of exploring. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature.

Completely in love with this place, sadly it was just an overnight stop for me. It is exactly what it looks like from the photos: a traditional Japanese house, freshly refurbished, with I believe 3 rooms (might be 4). The self check-in at the door might look intimidating but it's fast and well explained, just make sure you have internet and follow the instructions (you'll get the link in your messages before you arrive anyway). The area is lovely, you have combini, a cute cafè, restaurants and the station is less than 5 minutes away. You can also walk to the fish market in about 15mins and have a fantastic meal. My room felt really cozy and I was so sad to leave. Also, I've read some comments saying it's hard to find (it is indeed behind another set of houses so you need to walk around them) but in my case if you put the exact address on Google Maps the pin matched the house perfectly.

The hostel is close to the station, which makes it easy to travel to places like Hitachi Seaside park. It is generally close to everything you might need in Mito, and has all the basic facilities covered. The shower room was nice, there is a small area to have breakfast, and the bedrooms had lockers for each bed. There are also two sockets on the beds and a small lamp that are useful. Each bed compartment has curtains for privacy, which is appreciated. While the hostel is on a busy main road, I got a good night's sleep during my stay.

I had a great stay! the house was clean and everything had easy access! the hosts were very nice too! the house was a 20 min walk from a beautiful park! i tried the tea ceremony they provide and it was a beautiful and interesting thing to do! so I recommend that to everyone! if you are stuck on what to do the hosts will give you ideas on places you can go to.
