They also helped us plan our sightseeing trips in the local area and even took us to the local village to meet their parents. We would highly recommend for those looking to come to the Nilgiris hills, in particular foreign travellers who want to understand local culture and relax in the countryside. The WiFi was good enough to do some work calls which came up, which was helpful. Perfect English spoken. We enjoyed tea tasting at Tranquilitee and recommend Cafe Diem for lunch, an organic vegetarian cafe with a stunning view.

The homestay has family rooms. Location: Peaceful location, 1 km claimed to reach the beautiful Haven Cottages. Serene view from all the rooms. We liked the rooms and the host so much that we extended the stay in the same cottage. It's around 2.5 km walk from the main city centre. Autos are available but we prefer walking. Room stay: Very cosy and comfortable beds. The host provided all the necessary things and gave extra when we needed. Extremely welcoming and felt like a home. We didn't have to bother about anything during our stay. Hot drinking water and regular water are given whenever we need it. Toothbrush, toothpaste, clean towels and blankets were provided. The top floor room has terrace access which opens to the beautiful skyline. Enjoy cuppa noodles while watching the sunset. Stay months: Mid-November shows some drizzle showers, bright sun and winter beginning at the same time. It was not too cold outside but the rooms sometimes felt a little colder. Host: Extremely good-hearted hosts. Always ready to help and guide whenever we needed. Will definitely book the same cottage next time. Both are very nice hosts and genuinely interested in helping each guest, making our stay memorable and pleasant. Highlights: Very homely vibes with caring hosts. Amazing scenic view of Ooty. The stay is very peaceful and enjoyable.
