They had a chocolate cake all night, which was helpful :) The room was very comfy, with everything you expect in a hotel. The shower was hot and had good pressure.

The family run An Portan Guesthouse is situated in Dún Chaoin on the edge of the Dingle Peninsula. The rooms at An Portan are all at ground floor level and are arranged in a courtyard style. It is situated in a really quiet and peaceful place. Close to a pub which is western most in Ireland and serves great beer and food . The breakfast was good too Liked the common lounge -full of books and comfortable sofas!

The owner is incredibly friendly and courteous. It started with a fast accommodation of our dietary preferences, which I shared quite late. Dermot went out of his way to make our stay memorable, including an incredible guided tour around Sleigh Head peninsula. We will most certainly be back as we have enjoyed our stay immensely. Would recommend to anyone traveling to Dingle!
