He is French and is quite picky as a person but he did not complaint at all when we stay at this homestay which is rare experience we had in Indonesia. The room is clean, the house is cute, the staffs are very helpful. We even extended 2 more nights because we enjoyed Malang City. Our experience was amazing. We did Bromo Tour with them and we even had 2 box of breakfast. They gave us a bunch of recommendation in Malang including restaurant and we went to a special bakery place that has authentic french toast for breakfast that they recommended. We loved it so much. Overall, we had a good time :)

A great location in the midst of nature, detached from others. Great view from the room and from the terrace, fresh air. Located between Malang and Bromo, so it is very convenient to go from the ecolodge to the Bromo tour. Scooters can be only rented on Malang, better to take minumun 120cc if you want to travel around, for example, to Sewu waterfall. Gojek works, but in the evening there maybe problems to get one, get a car in advance or ask the owner. The owners btw are very very cool and helpful! Thank you for helping us out!!!! This homestay offers free private parking and full-day security. Lovely home stay, comfy beds, very helpful and kind owner. He told us of all the options to visit Mount Bromo (one could book the tour directly via the owner) and we ended up staying at Brak for 2 nights and doing the Mt Bromo trip directly from Probolinggo. We pre-ordered a Gojek (like Grab) at 2 am for 250k, the driver drove us to Cemorolawang, we did the hike and everything, had breakfast in Cemorolawang, then came back to Probolinggo. We can back with the same driver, but one can easily also use the shared minivans, it is easy to get from Cemorolawang to Probolinggo during the day. When we came back, the owner greeted us with tea and we had a good rest. Doing Mt. Bromo from Probolinggo is easy and less tiresome, we’re happy we chose this way! I can only recommend this guesthouse, this was Indonesian hospitality at its best that we experienced.
