Easy check in and great location, 10 minute walk to Old Town Zadar, yet very quiet. Very new and modern facility and rooms. Great shower. So happy to have a television with streaming capability as choices for english speaking channels (even satellite) at most accommodations we stayed at were quite poor.

The location was perfect, just a short walk to the beach and short taxi to the airport. The apartment itself had all the essentials and was spotless and comfortable. But what truly made my experience unforgettable was the kindness of the hosts. When my flights were cancelled, they were so accommodating and flexible, taking all the stress out of the situation. And when I unexpectedly got sick during my stay, they went above and beyond, bringing me fluids, checking in on me, and even making me noodles. I’ve never experienced that level of care while travelling. I came for the convenience and location, but left feeling like I was cared for like family. I can’t recommend this place enough, if you’re looking for not just a great apartment, but truly wonderful people, this is the place to stay.

Casa Columba is a beautiful boutique hotel located right off of one of the most charming streets in Makarska. It’s an easy 5 minute walk from the main bus station, making it an easy spot to travel in and out of Makarska. While it’s tucked away in a quiet corner, it’s only a short walk to great restaurants, stores and beaches. The adults-only hotel is beautifully renovated, and very charming. The rooms are spacious, well appointed, masterfully decorated, exceptionally clean and incredibly comfortable. The host, Dino, clearly took a lot of pride in crafting an oasis with this entire space. He, Yan Yan, and Eddie were welcoming and kind, and as a solo traveler I felt both safe and incredibly comfortable. I have to call out Yan Yan in particular for being especially thoughtful, professional and warm. He really helped set a positive tone at the start of every day with exceptional service at breakfast and throughly the day with thoughtful suggestions and recommendations. I can’t say enough about how wonderful he was - his energy was a cherry on top of an already lovely stay. I look forward to recommending Casa Columba to friends and family, and returning again one day!
