This is a real treasure at the end of a tough stage of the Camino. The owner was extremely helpful, super flexible and provided a friendly, professional service with great food and drinks. He also organized our taxi to Leon for a very reasonable price, stayed late to keep the bar running for other guests, and provided great advice. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable, with good sized bathrooms and lots of hot water. An excellent place to stay - and for half the price of other (smaller, less friendlier and less comfortable) places on the Camino!

The hotel is really nice, well laid out and full of character. Staff is helpful. They served us a complimentary breakfast of coffee and cakes in a charming patio area. It is clean and right in the centre of the old town. We definetly recommend it.

A family run business, exceptionally friendly and very welcoming. Nice traditional bar in the evening. The food was very good and excellent value. Our double room was very clean and the a good shower. Our second visit as used on our journey down to Madrid. Would recommend as an authentic experience of Spanish hospitality.

The accommodation was exceptionally clean and well presented. The room had some old charm and character which made for a pleasant stay and atmosphere. The hosts were exceptionally hospitable and organised. It was great to receive some good old fashioned customer service. On arrival the host answered any questions with diligence and with a true willingness to help make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. He also provided us with a map of the town and identified on the map where we were and how to get to the main tourist sites in Salamanca.

El Mirador del Poeta exceeded all expectations, delivering a perfect experience just as anticipated. During our delightful three-day stay, we found ourselves within walking distance of everything, rendering the car unnecessary. The beds were remarkably comfortable, and the breathtaking view of Plaza Mayor added an extra touch of splendor. One small piece of advice: if you desire a view of the Plaza Mayor, be sure to pay extra, as the default view overlooks a charming small plaza in the back.
