Starlight Mountain Lodge is a recently renovated guest house in Sigchos, where guests can make the most of its water sports facilities and fitness centre. Victor and his family were so kind and welcoming. I arrived to a lovely fire and within a few minutes of arriving had a meal ready for me. Breakfast was a huge meal and prices for the lunch is really good. It was such a nice place with beautiful view, so quiet and peaceful and right next to the start of the quilotoa loop trek.

Bike hire and car hire are available at the homestay and the area is popular for cycling and hiking. A kids' club is also available at Hostal Doña Clarita Inn, while guests can also relax in the garden. The incredibly warm welcome of smiles and beautiful hospitality, along with a happy dog and cat, it felt like we were stepping into a home. It was the best and calmest place with A variety of teas, boiling water, drinking water, coffee, homemade cookies and banana bread upon arrival with the fire lit for us to get all cosy after our walk along the trail. Super friendly vibes, community dinner was exceptional and the vegan option was the best I’ve had in Ecuador. The views over the valley are beautiful and clear sky’s meant for tea under the stars in the evening :)

Our overall experience was very good and the place we clean. Even towels were new. The breakfast was amazing! totally surpased my expectations.

Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. This place is very nice, the staff was friendly and helpful. They kindly explained the activities around, we did the tour to Cotopaxi volcano and it was incredible with professional guide. I recommend this hostel, the rooms are cozy and clean, they offer laundry and restaurant service for dinner and breakfast in a beautiful commun area. Plus it is located close from the historical center and downtown.

Guests can dine in an outdoor dining area at the guest house. One of the best hostels I have been to in South America. It's a nice building with a friendly and cosy vibe. Mafe and the rest of the staff were very friendly and helpful with everyone There's a big communal area with a big kitchen where people can cook and easily socialize. There's also a rooftop where you can see Volcano Cotopaxi and chill. Showers and toilets have everything one needs Location is very good, with everything you need nearby To whomever is traveling solo, with friends or couples, this is a place I deri suggest to stay at. My 10 beds dorm was nice and quite. The only thing that could be improved is the beddings and blankets. A duvet would do a better job. 10/10 hostel :)

Hosteria Alpaka Quilotoa in Quilotoa provides adults-only accommodation with a garden and a shared lounge. This 2-star guest house offers a 24-hour front desk and a shared kitchen. The guest house also features free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. María and her husband run the hotel. They were lovely from the beginning to the end. She is a very gifted chef and will cook delicious meals for you while you stay there. Quilotoa itself seems to be going through a boom of people opening hostels and restaurants, we visited during low season and hence it seemed that the town was half empty. Prices are ridiculous cheap for what you can get. Our room had a king size bed, a little fireplace that warmed us through the night and a private bathroom with boiling water- everything that you can wish after a good day of hike. While in there we hiked Quilotoa rim, but also did the short hike to the bottom of the crater and back. All free hikes. Highly recommended to visit and to stay in this hostal. It’s conveniently place right by the entry of the town.
