Absolutely superb breakfast service (11/10)! Newly renovated from the ground up. WiFi works fine. Supermarket just across the street. Perfect location for a lot of hiking. Easily reachable by car as well as public transport. Despite this being an active railway station, the trains didn't bother me sound wise. With the windows closed, sound isolation was extremely good, and even sleeping with the window open was OK (I will add that my room was on the street side of the building, however).

Clean and spacious bathroom, and nice coffee too. Very quiet, being almost hidden in a backcourt of some buildings. Location is very good - some 10-15 minute walking from the main station, or about 5 with public transport.

This place is a true hidden gem. I needed a bed for a one-night stay to break up a long journey and had originally reserved a hotel right off the autobahn but got scared off by negative Google reviews (dirty, smelly, noisy, poor service) when I went to plan my journey on Google maps so booked this hostel instead on the morning of my departure. Good decision. Exceptionally clean and comfortable, friendly, kind proprietor, quiet location. Room was small but perfectly adequate for a solo traveler with two dogs. The mattress, duvet and pillow were as cozy and comfy as anywhere I've ever stayed, including upscale hotels. Well-equipped shared kitchen with drinks available for purchase at a really reasonable price. Shared bathroom/WC but I never had to wait to use the facilities. Toilet was backed up in the morning by a previous user and immediately dealt with. Huge open fields connected by farm lanes just out the back, ideal for walking dogs. I immediately reserved a stay for the return journey and this time ordered the breakfast, which was excellent and reasonably priced. Other guests were a mixture of cyclists, motorcyclists, and foreign workers from Balkan countries on nearby construction jobs, all very congenial, I enjoyed chatting with them. Relaxing, welcoming atmosphere. Departed for the continuation of a long car journey rested and well fed, but wish I could have stayed longer.
