Beautiful location with panoramic view of the beach from the room. We could see the turtles from the balcony. Jean Pierre is a very friendly host, everything is possible. Really comfortable space, inside and out. Christina was super friendly and helpful during our entire stay and kept herself available throughout our visit. The rooftop patio and accessible fridge/kitchen space was super convenient during our stay as well.

Offering a terrace and views of the sea, Maderal is set in Mindelo in the Sao Vicente Region. Free private parking is available on site. Some rooms feature a seating area where you can relax. lovely welcoming family very modern very clean

Fabulous place to stay in Mindelo. Safe neighborhood and close to the center (10 min walk). The actual property is a room with ensuite bathroom inside a bigger apartment where also family lives on the premises. The kitchen and living room are shared. The room is big, clean and comfortable. Great breakfast included in the price. Also for a modest extra charge it's possible to eat dinner/late lunch with the family. This is highly recommended as the most of Mindelo restaurants are closed during daytime and the restaurant food is mostly mediocre anyway. The homemade dinners are freshly prepared and tasty, excellent value for money. The owner Antonio is very helpful and a great source of local advise and knowledge. Many thanks to the owner for helping me with many practical tasks while in Mindelo, it would take me a lot more time and effort to figure it out by myself. Would not hesitate to stay here again. If you are in Mindelo, look no further.

He was friendly, helpful and showed me around Mindelo. The room, bathroom and kitchen were top quality and I would give it a top ranking. Breakfast was also delicious. This was my favourite place in Cape Verde.

I honestly don’t even know where to begin, because everything was so incredibly kind, thoughtful, and heartwarming! I was able to extend my stay spontaneously which is not something you can always expect and they made it happen with so much warmth and flexibility. Even though there were quite a few little complications (all on my side!),they stayed calm, friendly, and incredibly helpful the entire time. I felt supported and cared for every single moment. They even cleaned during my stau without me asking just because they’re that attentive. They also arranged a taxi for me and took care of everything, even the details I would’ve forgotten. Honestly, they put in so, so, so much effort it’s hard to put into words. You truly can’t imagine how genuinely kind and caring they are until you experience it yourself. I’m beyond grateful to have ended up here it was a stroke of luck and a true blessing. If you’re looking for a hostel that’s run with heart, where you feel safe, welcome, this is the place.
