Located in Paul, Kasa d'Vizin offers accommodation with seating area. This guest house features air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony. Food portions were very generous, excellent wifi, and there was also free drinking water (instead of having to buy small bottles all the time). Ana helped with planning my hikes and organizing a guide. It's not too long a walk to Paul to catch the aluguers though it's important to keep in mind the island is huge and it takes time and money to get around. I regretted moving to another area b/c I really loved my stay here.

Free WiFi is accessible to all guests, while some rooms also boast a balcony. At the guest house, units have bed linen and towels. We had a lovely stay at MeloMar Rooms in Ponta do Sol. The accommodation is very central (about 5 mins from just about everything in town) and is clean and comfortable. We had a huge room with a balcony and a very modern en-suite bathroom. A big benefit for us was also the well equipped shared kitchen which meant we could cook for ourselves on a couple of nights. But the best thing about the stay was our hosts, they were kind and friendly and although they didn’t speak much English and we don’t speak much Portuguese, we made it all work just fine! In particular they helped us out when we got the timing wrong for the morning aluguer to Porto Novo - they phoned around and then went out into the square to help find a driver that was willing to to take us in time for our transfer. Amazing. Thank you - I hope we can come back and stay again some time.

At the homestay, every unit comes with bed linen and towels. Very pleasantly surprised by the tasteful design, impeccable cleanliness, comfort and exceptionally welcoming reception at Alfa Rooms. The view from the (very spacious) terrace was incredible. Bonus points for being able to use the laundry machine!

Offering garden views, Residencial Lela d'Fermina in Pombas offers accommodation, a garden, a terrace, a bar and a shared lounge. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. Guests can make use of the picnic area or the year-round outdoor pool, or enjoy views of the mountain and pool. I absolutely loved staying at Residencial Lela d’Fermina and next time I’m back in Santo Antão this is the place I’ll stay at, no doubt. The owner, Mr Antonio, is a gem of a person, and the whole staff was really nice and kind. The room was spacious and had everything I needed — I’d probably just add a kettle. The restaurant across the road was also such a lovely experience, the view is amazing, the owner is so kind, and the food is delicious and so cheap. After the craziness of Mindelo I really appreciated the opportunity to rest at this peaceful place, surrounded by mountains, and chilling by the pool. Antonio is really knowledgeable about the surrounding area and he made sure I was taken care of the entirety of my stay. Muito obrigado, Sr António! Pedra de Rala is located on the beachfront in Porto Novo. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are available at the guest house free of charge. When staying at Pedra de Rala, guests can use private entrance. My second stay. Love the house. Very comfortable and authentic. This time with concert included. The host Arlindo with his band Cordas do Sol were playing on the main street at a local event. Spectacular and fully recommended!

The guest house offers mountain views, a sun terrace and a 24-hour front desk. Super nice hosts. Breakfast was at the top and flexible between 7 and 9 with an omelet and plenty of cold fixings to fill one up. Arranged a shared taxi for my return trip to the airport that picked me up at the guesthouse. The room was large and fairly comfortable with nice hot water in the shower.

Casa Santa Barbara Deluxe is situated in Ribeira Grande and has a private pool and pool views. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. The guest house features family rooms. Pool area was very nice and the pool itself very clean. All workers there were very helpful and helped us with everything we asked.

Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a terrace. Nice place with friendly staff. No air-conditioning but still cool by leaving windows open, with the downside being outside noise and a couple of streetlights lighting the room somewhat.
