I have so many great memories from my stay at Gubeikou Great Wall Yunyeshu Boutique Guesthome. The guest home was so comfortable and convenient for what I wanted to do. The service could not be beaten. I was looked after from the moment I arrived until I departed 3 days later. Dinners were delicious, village life was interesting, wonderful for a stroll and of course I was driven to the Great Wall and Gubei Water Town by my hosts. Just all round 10/10 hospitality. A real highlight of my China visit!

Situated in Miyun, just 50 metres away from the Great Wall, this friendly hostel features modern architecture, free Wi-Fi and free parking. Nestled in the laid-back Gubeikou Town, the single-storey house would be a warm base to explore the wild Beijing. I chose this hostel as a base for visiting the Great Wall of China. There are a couple of ways to arrive there, the owner provides all the information after booking. My way: from Beijing North Station I took the "Huaimi line of suburban railway" to Gubeikou town. I bought the ticket at the train station 3 hours in advance and it costs 12 CNY. The trip takes ~2,5 h. From the station, a taxi took me to the hostel (~4KM, 20 CNY). It was arranged by the hotel in advance. Once you arrive you find yourself in a kind or yoga retreat. Calmness, tranquility, good vibes. I was lucky enough to have the dorm all to myself. The bunk beds are old styled, no curtains/bed light/bed socket. But my mattress was comfy. The bathroom area is excellent. Lots of toiletries are there for you to choose. And yes, the toilets are Japanese style! For extra payment you can have dinner and breakfast, all chinese style, cooked in their kitchen, mainly vegetarian. And before even settling down, Xiaowei (the owner) tells you everything about the trail you are going to follow the next day. She uses a translation gadget and sends crucial photos of the path through "Wechat" application. She and her assistant Lynn accomodate any need you might have, always smiling and thoughtful.

All units in the homestay are fitted with a kettle. Units are fitted with a private bathroom with slippers, while selected rooms also feature a balcony and others also feature mountain views. At the homestay, the units are fitted with bed linen and towels. the stay exceeded my expectations. both hosts are welcoming, enthusiastic, and down to earth. when we arrived, we discussed our travel plans with the hosts and they gave us plenty of helpful suggestions and even offered driving service. after exploring jinshanling the next day, the host picked us up, gave us a quick tour around gubeikou town, sharing the beauty and history of the town, then sent us to the train station. breakfast was authentic and delicious (loved the soy milk, 油炸饼, and 疙瘩汤). overall, this was a wonderful start to our beijing trip, with comfy place, thoughtful hosts, and beautiful surroundings. highly recommend staying here. 10/10.

For added convenience, the property can provide towels and linens for a supplement. At the homestay, all units are soundproof. Extremely kind people. We came off season but still fed and helped. Supported my way there( qite a looon journey!) And nice location. Literally near the Wall

Everything , I’m writing this from the train station about to leave . The setting is perfect to go around the multiple parts of the Great Wall , there is one unrestored a short walk from the hotel . Honestly this place and its people are amazing . You will feel at home, they arrange everything for you and the food is delicious. It feels like home .

The property has inner courtyard views and is 1.5 km from Wangfujing Street and 3.2 km from Forbidden City. The accommodation provides a 24-hour front desk, full-day security and luggage storage for guests. Location is perfect, very close to two subway station. Girl at the reception was super cute, very funny and helpful. The hotel has no any sign so you just follow the main image. Also it’s a pretty coffee shop rich you have to go through to reach your room.

With city views, this accommodation provides a patio. The accommodation offers a 24-hour front desk, a shared kitchen and luggage storage for guests. The location is very good, near both subway stations Yonghegong and Andingmen. The best is the reception, Amber is super. She helps me to book the Tiananmen Square visit and gave many recommendations for many places and restaurants.
