The owner thought of every detail to make the guest feel at home during vacation from both the style and practicality. We loved that it had a coffee maker and milk in the fridge for our morning coffee. The 3-d map on the wall was a big hit for us! The chairs to watch TV were super comfortable as was the bed. There were blankets and pillows in the living room. Kitchen had everything needed and more like pot with boiled water. Great idea! They have very tasty tap water there. I would highly recommend The Sounds and hope to return myself. The view is spectacular!

The view superb. The owners were truly lovely. Cannot recommend Oakleigh House highly enough. Would not hesitate to go back.

Outdoor seating allows guests to sit outside and enjoy the good weather. The location was perfect for visiting the Nut, and viewing the penguins at night. A quieter area but close to everything, easy walking. Loved the style of accommodation. Clean , comfortable and so relaxing. We stayed 2 nights, and we loved Stanley.

The property has garden views and is 3.6 km from Queen Victoria Museum and 10 km from Country Club Casino. Albert Hall Convention Centre is 2.4 km from the homestay and UTAS Stadium is 3.7 km away. The room was beautiful and really cozy, with lots of nice little touches. Wide selection of teas, a few breakfast options to choose from, and even some restaurant tips nearby. They had a hairdryer, toiletries, bathrobe and slippers, so basically everything was sorted. Would definitely stay again

The spacious homestay comes with a flat-screen TV. The kitchenette features a microwave, a toaster and a fridge and there is a private bathroom with a hair dryer and free toiletries. The property has an outdoor dining area. Suited our purpose to stay on our way to Arthur River and then again on our return. Host a most helpful lady and we really enjoyed chatting with her. The accommodation was clean and tidy and a comfortable place to stay. Good size fridge freezer and a shower that was the best we had been in. We came prepared to self cater, if you don't then you have to drive into Smithton or Stanley, or eat prior to travelling here. Suited us fine. Also had internet access which was unexpected.

His house is also super comfortable and clean. Loved the area in general, which remains relatively close to the little penguins observation areas.
