They also allowed us to use the kitchen to cook some fresh shrimp we bought from the local fisherman. The room was comfortable; air conditioning was not even needed because of the excellent fan. There was a comfortable common area for sitting in the evenings and eating meals. It was a short walk to the beach and restaurants. This was exactly what we were looking for -- a relaxed home away from home.

Everything was super clean and the location is very convenient. Just 5 minutes away from beautiful beaches & from the famous Oistins fish market (a delicious must-try).

There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. Everything was on point, clean nice modern comfortable, straight up the best.

Offering a garden and quiet street view, casa maria is set in La Romana, 8.1 km from Teeth of the Dog and 12 km from Dye Fore. This property offers access to a balcony, free private parking and free WiFi. The guest house has family rooms. Honestly everything was great. Maria is so sweet and she runs the place herself. She makes breakfast every morning and makes getting around for the day easy, just ask and she'll call up a motocoach or car. It's on the upper floor of her house (separate entrance up the stairs) and there's three rooms that are a great size with modern bathrooms, fans and A/C. The shared area is spacious and gorgeous, with a full kitchen, dining table and a nook with comfy chairs by the windows. It's in a residential area with a colmado on the corner if you need a quick snack or drink. All in all I think this was my favorite place I stayed at while in DR, and I wouldn't stay anywhere else in La Romana :). (Pics were taken after checkout but the linen and sheets were great as well!)
