We took a risk and booked a hotel with no reviews...and we are happy to have done so :) Evelyn is a brand new hotel, spotlessly clean and our room looked exactly like on photos (rarity in Vietnam). The bed was so comfly and the duvet so soft it felt like sleeping on a cloud. The location is perfect - a 5 minute stroll to the lake and 10 minuts to the Old Quarter, but away from the worst noise. The owner was very responsive through WhatsApp and even directed us to the airport bus to help us save money for taxi. We could leave our bags at the reception after the check out. Unbeatable price/performance, we were sorry we could only spend one night.

The personal touch, professionalism, caring attitude of the staff is outstanding. This was our second stay for this trip and they assigned us the best room they have but it's on the 4th (highest) floor. However the staff was there to help bring our 2 heavy luggage up though we checked in late due to traffic delay. When we checked out at 4am to catch a flight, the staff was again there to bring down our luggage. He waited for our Grab car to arrive, helped to load up our luggage before saying goodbye to us. What more can we ask. Kudos to Bamboo Homestay. We'll stay there when we visit again. Highly recommended. Fantastic location with many food stalls nearby. Free washer and dryer on 5th floor was a great help too.

It is in a very central and good location, the room was clean, the beds are very comfortable. The host was very nice and helpful. I would gladly recommend this accomodation to anybody (who is up to climb some stairs), we had a really good time here!

Staying with Huong and his beautiful family was one of our best experience in Vietnam. They are such beautiful people with a kind heart, welcoming, friendly, … Huong was more than happy to help us organise our day, he shared a lot of tips and "Must Do" in Hanoï and also shared some local delicious food :D They live in a authentic village 30 minutes away from the busy Town center and they offer us to use their scooter everywhere we wanted to go! The hospitality was fantastic, and the host was incredibly kind and considerate. She was always there when we needed her and even gave us umbrellas when it started raining. The room was super comfortable, with fresh-smelling bedsheets and towels, and everything was spotless. Breakfast was brought to our room each morning, with something new and tasty every day. The location is probably the best in Hanoi. We loved our stay and hope to come back whenever we’re in Hanoi again.

The host is an awesome person, who is availble for contact 24 hours per day. Very friendly and gives more hospitality than is required. The accomodation is clean, and has all you need. I think everone should experience this homestay to get more inside information on living in a busy city as Hanoi. I think I have one suggestion for host: maybe include the experience of sharing a meal with the family or friends, or offer a tour on a bike together with the host..This would increase their income and will be a superb experience for the guests. I thought about this idea, because he is such a nice person as company.

It is a lovely home stay with an amazing family. They can help you with different tours (Ha Giang with them was the best) and simcard. The place is really authentic and nice giving you everything you need. The owner is a honest and helping man. I really loved my time there and be happy to be back
