Super kind guest! Absolutely a wonderful welcome in Khiva. He waited for us late in the evening and he gave us something to eat, when everything was closed outside. The guesthouse is close to the Eastern Gate, perfect to visit the city center and to go easy to the train station walking. The room is simple, but clean, with private bathroom.

Simply perfect!!! This Uzbekistan family hotel is the perfect one to spend days in Khiva. it’s just few meters from the entrance to Khiva old center, it’s a very cosy and Uzbekistan style place. The owners are so kind and helpful, they made us feel like at home. Our double room was very clean, with a private bathroom. They served us a delicious breakfast in our room: green tea, bread, jam, eggs, cheese, cucumbers, cookies, sweets, snacks, etc., soooo goood!!! we recommend this place absolutely.

Shodlik House is just a few steps away from the iconic Kalta Minor minaret. Our twin bed room faces parts of the Itchan Kala ancient city walls. Daniel, the host, and his family kept the guest house very clean. There is free water dispenser and a large sitting area in the house. We could walk a mere 2 minutes to Kalta Minor for the sunrise or walk back leisurely after sundown. Daniel can help to arrange a 1 or 2-day tour into Turkmenistan. The breakfast provided was very hearty, .more than what we would have expected, and very fresh and delicious. We saw how Daniel & his family changed each room bedsheets & towels carefully - a great assurance of how well they maintain the hygiene in their guesthouse even when most guests stayed just one night in Khiva. Thank you Daniel & family for a very comfortable stay in Khiva!
