Room was nice, big and clean. Great views. Good location mid mountain about 1 hour from chiayi and another hour to Alishan scenic area, and 5 minutes walking distance to shops and some restaurants. Host was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was really good and fresh. Water dispenser available which was really convenient. Sunrise views were amazing from the hotel itself n a nice tea farm behind belonging to the owner.

This homestay location is perfect to go Er Yan Ping for hiking or sightseeing. And we love the dogs especially Xing Xing, he is so friendly and protective, he would make sure we follow him back home after the hike. The sunrise view is also perfectly right in front of the homestay. We did not need to wake up early for the sunrise view.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Green Incense Homestay. The room was massive and the view from our room to the tea farm was amazing. Breakfast was really delicious and homey, and I couldn't get enough of the ginger tea, perfect for cold weather. We relied on bus to get around and the hosts were super kind to ferry us to the bus stop, nearby restaurants and even to Eryanping for an early hike. They were also very helpful with any inquiries we had on how to plan our trip and we had great conversations with them on the history of the area. The restaurants around this area close early around 7 PM so factor this in if you wish to have dinner in Shizhuo. Overall, we had a great time at the Homestay and really appreciate the kindness of the hosts, their hospitality made the trip so much more enjoyable.

The property’s design is great, the photos here don’t do it justice. For sure it would have been easier by car, but we found it quite easily even traveling by bus. My only regret is that we stayed only one night. Eryanping trail is walking distance. You need to organise for dinner if you’re on foot because there isn’t much in the area, but the host is super friendly and welcoming and helpful. Also: by far the best breakfast we had during our 20 day trip in Taiwan. I’m gluten intolerant and this was an issue for many hosts, but she made us a super tasty congee that was just perfect. I will definitely recommend this spot to others traveling in Taiwan!

This place is such a gem!!!! The room was sparkling clean, the bed was veeeery comfy, the sunset & sunrise views from the balcony are just a dream!! The owner is extraordinarily welcoming and caring, and also makes delicious tea. There’s also a small kitchenette in the common area which is very convenient to store your food & make tea and coffee, etc. The breakfast was tasty and took place on a terrace with mountain and tea plantation views. The property is located next to hiking trails and it’s just such a great walk, we liked it even more than Alishan park.

The family at the tea farm were so friendly and welcoming, and we had the best food here in our whole trip to Taiwan. It is only 15 minutes drive from the forest railway and there were lots of hiking trails nearby. The room was basic but fine, with a large shared lounge area. we were there when the weather was cold and there was a heater we could use.
