Spacious rooms with table and hooks to hang your clothes. A shared kitchen and a welcoming host. Quiet at night. It was really good value. The first night I booked the single room, which has an internal window. Fortunately all was quiet at night. The second and third nights I stayed in the triple room with private bathroom. It was a well arranged space with a window out to the courtyard. It felt private and relaxing.

Rui was a fantastic host. His family, including Jack, the fabulous friendly waggy dog were all very friendly. The room was very comfortable and we enjoyed the location and the view. Everything was very well equipped and spotlessly clean. A huge thank you to Rui for his fantastic suggestions for our day trip. It was a perfect recommendation to one of the best hiking trails I’ve ever been on and Rui’s practical suggestions made it all doable.

The owner and staff were very welcoming and greeted us at the entrance door. The property is lovingly furnished with antique furniture which adds a great deal of charm. The breakfast was wonderful and among the best we've ever experienced in our travels around the world. It is a property that was built in 1670 and was a manor house for many centuries before being converted into a modern hotel.
