How can you summarise the perfect stay?! From the moment we arrived at Ricardo’s beautiful home we felt completely relaxed. Ricardo made us feel incredibly welcome, he clearly loves hosting guests and this shows in each of the lovely little touches he added to our stay, it was beyond hotel quality. The house itself is its own special paradise, with a beautiful pool area and well maintained gardens surrounding. The delicious breakfast provided each day even included fruit and vegetables from his organic garden. Our advice would be to cut your time in Lisbon in half and instead stay twice as long at Ricardo’s and see more of Sintra - you won’t regret it. We look forward to coming back here.

Very nice boutique hotel, small but comfy. Amazing location to visit Sintra, very good breakfast and all the tasty snacks left in the afternoon. Special mention to the Porto wine. The position is out of the historical center, but this allows you to find parking in the nearby streets.

We loved absolutely everything! Armie greeted us with the biggest of smiles and she made our experience simply wonderful. Her cooking and wine selection was superb and always so happy to help. We loved the atmosphere, the setting, the pool and especially the resident dogs…… such a precious experience we will always remember and talk about. The tremendous view from our room and from the breakfast room onto the moorish castle, the classy interior and exterior, the fine individual breakfast, the very friendly and competent staff, the tour we booked through the hotel with a tuktuk company. Everything was brilliant. The hotel is walking distance to the man station and easy accessible by car as well.

Our stay at Sintra Marmoris Camelia exceeded our expectations! Apparently, the hotel used to be someone's private home and was recently renovated and converted to the Marmoris Camelia hotel. Our room was spacious and nicely appointed with thoughtful touches. A gorgeous glass decanter of port as well as local chocolates was displayed on a beautiful mirrored tray. The hotel itself was spotless, with marble stairs and floors polished to a tee. Breakfast was a just as exceptional.
