A wonderfull week with Babu and Bella. Walking in Kirtipur, temples, Bhairat and others, Chovar view point village and temple with thé plates, and gorges,... A nice tour with Babu to Dakshinkali and different Buddhist Monastères and also Bungamati. Staying at Babu and Bella's house was very cool and quiet, in the country side. Their meals are wonderfull, testy and healthy, with organic végétales, always. Nice talking with their son Ayush also. We hope to be back as soon as possible.

This is an incredible place to stay! I have been fortunate to travel to many places over the years and this is one of the most genuine experiences I have had. It is based in a local area, a lot more calm than busy Thamel and gives you more insight into how local people in Kathmandu live. You can walk into Thamel or can get a taxi/bike easily with the inDrive app. The rooms are comfortable, there is very good wifi and there is an incredible view from the rooftop. Nir and his family will really look after you, but at the same time give you as much space as you need to do your own thing. They will make it feel like your home where you can relax and whatever you do, try their meals in their kitchen…..you will not regret it! I thoroughly recommend a stay at peace homestay.

Bobby is an excellent, caring and friendly host,he picked me up from the bus stop, waiting patiently as traffic held us up. A ride on the back of his motorbike to the hotel was great fun! Room spacious, double and single beds, wardrobe, chair and table, several power points, clothes stand. Directly outside the room is a wash basin, shower room and toilet next door, plus kitchen with kettle. Each guest is on a seperate floor, so very private. Sat up on the roof terrace in the sun one morning too. Central position, 2 minutes from Durbar Square, plenty of local shops including a supermarket next door to the hotel.

We stayed at Shine Homestay as a group of 16 people, and everything was simply wonderful. Rabina and her family made us feel truly at home: their kindness, calm energy, and attention to detail created a peaceful haven in the middle of Kathmandu’s lively chaos. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the rooftop offered a lovely space to relax, and breakfast was fresh and generous. Communication with Rabina was always easy and warm, both before and during our stay. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic hospitality and genuine connection with local life.

A very clean and comfortable room and bathroom in a good location plus an excellent breakfast. The outstanding element is the warmth, friendliness, helpfulness and kindness of the hosts Sugat and Roshani, they went above and beyond our expectations in help and advice during our stay, helping with a Nepali SIM card, topping it up for us, telling us where best to exchange currency, booking the bus to Pokhara for us when we had difficulty with the bus website, suggesting restaurants, sites to visit, organizing a taxi to nargakot, endless kindness. We also ate at the restaurant they have in Patan called the jacaranda, excellent food, a lovely setting and good prices. We can highly recommend other travelers to stay at the Swagat Homestay.

I absolutely loved and appreciated my stay at Mira’s and Sudarsan’s place! After travelling two months around Nepal and coming straight from Lumbini landing in such a clean heaven was a blessing! The house itself is so modern and beautiful, everything is always spotlessly clean and there is always a fantastic smell (jasmine, cleanliness and good food! best smells, no?) I originally booked for one week in the apartment, but i ended up staying two more weeks in another room and when i decided to spend some days away in the mountains, Mira held there some of my things for me so that i could travel lightly. Mira and Sudarsan are lovely people and you can always have good conversations and learn something new about the local culture, i really appreciated that! Around the table at dinner time you can meet people from all over the world. But if you are more of introvert like me, your privacy and alone time will always be highly respected. The wifi always worked great, even on the days when i had many hours of video calls for work, it never glitched. (and i have never experienced a power shortage during my stay!) Hot water is always plenty, and towels and sheets are very, very clean (and smelling good). Rooms are amazing, clean with lovely light coming in. The food is always good, healthy and fresh; i fell in love with Mira’s pumpkin soup. I am definetly going to miss it. The surrounding area is very calm, away from the hustle, and very peaceful. In a 30 min walk you can reach an area full of beautiful monasteries, and by following along the road you will then reach the monkey temple. I have enjoyed my stay so much and i will definitely come back on my next trip to Nepal. Thank you again, and so much love to all of you and lovely dog Lucky!
