Staying at Namaste Bhaktapur Homestay was an unforgettable experience! The family truly cares about you and makes sure you feel like part of their home. From the moment I arrived, I felt warmly welcomed and looked after with genuine kindness. The room was the cleanest I’ve ever stayed in, with a super comfortable bed, tasteful furnishings, and a spotless bathroom that had everything I needed. It was clear that every detail was prepared with care to make guests feel comfortable. The whole place was wonderfully quiet, which made it easy to relax and enjoy my time. The homestay is located in the best spot in Bhaktapur, which I believe is the most beautiful place in the whole valley. During my stay, I was lucky enough to join the wonderful Gai Jatra celebrations, a truly special cultural experience that I will never forget. They have the best rooftop in the city, and I enjoyed breathtaking views over Bhaktapur and of the mountains in the distance. I am thankful to the family for hosting me with such warmth. Without a doubt, I will come back here again on my next visit. A perfect stay that I highly recommend to everyone!

The entire stay was amazing from the initial helpful communication, delicious vegetarian food for every meal, twice daily yoga classes including breathing practices and also daily hikes to new places every day. All the family were so welcoming and kind. We even were able to join in with a neighbour’s wedding celebrations! The room is cleaned to the highest standard. As there was space, I was given my own room which was thoughtful. Beds very comfy. Would highly recommend.

Everything was great! The house is beautiful and colourful, the family welcomed us so warmingly, the room was large, spotless and very comfortable. The service was very attentive. Bhaktapur city center is about 20 minutes walk and it was nice to return to a quiet neighbourhood after a buzzing day. Thank you for everything, wish we could have stayed longer.

Shekhar is a special person that has created a special place for travellers to come together, share and find a likeminded community which this place seems to attract. On arrival I felt immediately at peace as it feels like home and has the best energy. Shekhar is very generous with sharing his time to show guests around the hidden gems of Bhaktapur and knowledge of Nepali and Newari culture. Staying here wasn’t just a place to sleep, it was an experience of getting to really know the city and Nepali way of life. Staying here also reminded me of the important things in life - good company, community, music, spirituality, art, food, learning and exploring. It was one of the highlights of two months travelling Nepal which speaks volumes :)

This lovely guest house is managed by a charming couple Laxman and Sanu who try so hard to make a guests stay perfect. The location is in the heart of Bhaktapur far away from tourist hotels, here you are really immersed in the community while still enjoying home comforts. Dattarraya Square is less than a five-minute walk away where there are a couple of recommended restaurants. We had a spacious room with balcony. Hot water always available and while the room was quite cool in the evenings, a portable gas heater is provided which was very effective. No kettle in the room but there is kitchen on the top floor to make drinks. Good breakfast each morning which is European style with boiled egg, yoghurt and fruit, cheese, tomato and cucumber slices plus bread and jam, juice and coffee.

Subha GH is just the perfect place to be in Bhaktapur: right in the center, near all the amazing squares that newari people built after so many centuries. We enjoyed very much eating a delicious breakfast and lunch prepared by the nice and kind newari couple that runs this place, Mohan and Ranjana. We tasted the typical food of their culture for lunch and had a great eggs, pancake, fruit, tea and Juju dhau (the best youghur in the world) for breakfast!!! Rooms are neat and clean, calm and silent, hot water runs perfectly!!

This is a perfectly situated, comfortable homestay run by lovely people. It had the bonus of a kitchen, which I think would have been a great social space usually though we were there a little out of the busy season.
