Location is perfect in a calm sideroad to walk around in Weligama. Weligama is a good point to start your experience in Sri Lanka. House and rooms are lovely decorated. The kitchen can be used if needed. The hosts are always available, very kind and help you with everything you need. And speak English well. It was a wonderful stay and will definitely come back.

I had a fantastic stay at this guest house, which is perfectly located just 5 minutes from the local train station and only 10 minutes from the beautiful Weligama beach. The host was incredibly attentive and made sure all our needs were met, providing a welcoming and caring atmosphere throughout our stay. The kitchen is well-equipped, ideal for preparing meals, and the room was not only comfortable but also cozy and peaceful. The garden is a lovely retreat where you can relax and enjoy the surroundings. What’s more, the guest house has a great community vibe, making it an ideal place to meet fellow travelers and share experiences. It was easy to connect with other digital nomads and adventurers. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great base to explore the area while having all the comforts of home!

We stayed at Weligama Bay House for nearly three weeks and had a wonderful stay! The place is run by a wonderful family who are super welcoming, friendly, and always willing to help. They help with laundry and transportation, and can also make you delicious dinner or breakfast. We had many interesting conversations with Iresh, the owner, about the culture of Sri Lanka and our home country. :) The wifi is decent most of the time. I was able to work remotely and have Zoom calls. There's a shared fridge and kitchen space with the basic things so you can cook your own food if you want (the big family apartment also has its own kitchen). The location is fantastic, just a two-minute walk to the beach and close to a bunch of great restaurants. I would definitely stay here again!

• The property is very clean and well-maintained. The room and bathroom are fresh, modern, and feel newly renovated. • Lots of natural daylight, the room is bright and comfortable. • Breakfast offered local Sri Lankan dishes and fresh fruits — delicious and authentic. • Sam is a very hospitable and helpful host. During heavy rain, when delivery apps failed, he kindly organized food delivery for us. He also recommended a great surf instructor. • Quiet and peaceful atmosphere, with nice outdoor/common areas to relax outside the room. • Convenient location: banks/ATMs and a small shop (water, fruits, ice cream, snacks) are nearby. The supermarket is about 10 minutes away, the beach is 5 minutes away, and the better beach spot is around 10 minutes on foot.

Silva was such a great host, he made sure we had everything we needed during the entire stay and even recommended a place to rent a bike nearby. The breakfast was great, and he would even wake us up in the morning when it was ready! He also let us have late check out at no extra charge. The AC was great, and had a nice warm shower. We shared a small kitchen area with another room so had fridge access which was very helpful.
