Well, Hatton and Dickoya is not on everybody’s route when they travel to Srilanka. But it should. We stayed for 2 days in this awesome Homestay. Room was excellent with amazing view, and perfect sunrise from our balcony. Moreover the owners can propose you unique excursion ( half or full day) around the area with a tuk tuk. For us we had some of our nicest and most authentic moments in Srilanka. We swam in amazing waterfalls, alone, we hiked a lot, we explored the vast tea plantations without the touristic vibes you experience in Ella. If you want to meet authentic Srilanka, just stop at Princess of Dickoya.

We received a lovely welcome, and the room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. 10 minutes walk from the railway station and 15 minutes walk from Nanuoya waterfall. Great value and we had a really good time. Thank you!

Like the other comments said: staying here is an unforgettable experience. We were lucky enough to be here when the two sons paid a visit to there mom (the woman managing this homestay) and we felt like we were part of their family. Very friendly and welcoming. And one of the best sri lankan food we tried, everything is homemade. The bed was good and the place is very quiet, we had a good sleep. Kumar (one of the son), works for hostel so he knows all the little things that make a good stay. You're really 5mn by walk from the railway, which was very convenient for us. Thanks for the hospitality, I hope I may come again

close to train station. Just 6 minutes walk. No need of Tuk tuk. Nice owner who gave early check in at no cost. Clean room, super bedding, good pillows and blankets. First class super hot showers. Tea maker. Good WiFi. Balcony sit out with mountain views. Very cheap and frequent buses to Nuwara Eliya, Seeta Amman Kovil and lake. It's more comfortable if you want to catch the train to Ella or Colombo.
