When we first went, Mr. Mohan welcomed us with a smile. He was very polite. Even though we stayed at home, we had the comfort of a hotel. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The rooms have air conditioning. special refrigerator. We had breakfast together and chatted. The pool was great fun. It was a very nice experience for me. It was my best 5 days in Colombo. If I come again I will meet Mr. Mohan again.

Welcoming and calm. Highbury Colombo is like a sea of tranquility. Manuji and her husband are attentive hosts and the space with garden is really beautiful. My room was excellent and food (lunch and breakfast the next day) was delicious. Highly recommend this place

The owner is really doing everything to make you feel comfortable. You can speak with her more or less anytime and she will take time to answer all your questions. I really appreciated how she adjusted to my needs and offered me a room which was perfect for me. Her son was also very supportive and even drove me to the immigration centre early in the morning. Both of them were really helpful. Thank you very much! If you are a dog lover, ask if you can play with their really sweet golden retriever (you might not see him, as he is most of the time on the backyard of the building). If you are strong enough, ask if you can take him for a walk. He will be very grateful for that.

It’s a gem! There’s always something quirky at every corner, it’s amazing! Stayed there on my birthday and they greeted us with a nice deco on the bed. Besides that, we were also given 2 jars of homemade chutney and jam after we returned from dinner. Let’s talk about dinner at their sister company Sanctuarii - my partner and i dined there two nights in a row because everything was exceptional. U can’t find cocktails better than there, food was amazing, atmosphere was eclectic (just like the house), and service is definitely top-notch! On the second night, i requested if they could fix the Netflix in the room and they sure did. The staff, especially Imran, have been very friendly and helpful. I can’t find anything negative to say about my stay here and would gladly return again. :)

We really enjoyed our time at Mohan’s homestay. It was exceptionally clean, very comfortable, and Mohan was a great host. Breakfast was delicious and served on a balcony that provided a perfect spot for birdwatching. Thank you Mohan for your wonderful hospitality.

Great host. Really helpful in nature, peaceful location, a bit farther away from main attraction area of Colombo, a bike/scooter/tuk tuk/bus needed for commuting between Galle face, Pettah, Fort area. Great budget option. Really homestay like feeling, finally stayed there for more than one instances, the owner became a friend, still in connection with her. Without a word she agreed to keep our luggage when we were out of Colombo for further journey. Would like to repeat the same option of staying here.
