Loved this hotel & wish we'd had longer than one night! The room was large with doors opening onto a small balcony, and the bathroom was the best we had in all our Sri Lanka travels - clean, modern with a completely separate enclosed shower!! I made use of the yoga room the next morning which, with its large windows, provided some great views. The breakfast was amazing - there were several options and you just placed your order the night before. Town was about a 20min walk away (we cut through Victoria Park) and Lovers Leap Waterfall is also about a 20min tuk-tuk drive away.

A nice big room with a comfortable bed and views out over the outskirts of the town and onto the tea plantations. There's also a common area with sofa and dining table. Breakfast that was included in the room price was good typical Sri Lankan. I also had an evening meal on both nights which was ok and saved me going into town but wasn't great if I'm honest. Location is around 15 minutes walk to Lovers Leap waterfall. And there's a bus stop a few minutes walk away where buses are every few minutes and cost 35 rupees in to the town centre.

We loved how caring the people were! Our room was great, lots of space, bathroom with good shower, what more could you want. The couple who manage the stay are amazing, lots of great recommendations but mainly the food! It was amazing! Best breakfast we had in Sri Lanka. We got to learn a lot about Sri Lankan kitchen. The property was amazing. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. The host was fantastic. Super helpful and very polite. It’s a great place to stay and would highly recommend! We had a room with the view and it was incredible. The location meant that it is a short walk to town but tuk tuks are readily available. We walked and it was an easy and nice walk. The lake is even closer. Will definitely be staying again on our next visit.

The owner and his mother were the sweetest hosts we met during our 2 week journey across Sri Lanka. He picked up us from the bus station and also took us to the train station in the end of our stay and bought the train ticket for us from his own money, because we didn’t had a change. He speaks english pretty well and was also our guide and showed us tea plantations, factories and nice spots to take a picture for a reasonable pricey Room was spacious, clean and cosy. Bed was comfy with the comforter. There is also a table and small patio to enjoy tea. Wifi was working well. Nuwara Eliya is more colder than other cities in Sri Lanka which was pleasant change for us. There weren’t any mosquitos. The homemade food was the best we had in Sri Lanka and the portions were huge. Location was near the Lover’s leap waterfall, max. 30 minutes walk and to the city center and Victorias garden it was approximately 1 hour walk but you can take a TukTuk. P.s. They have cute cat as a bonus :)

We had a wonderful stay at Wood’s Hut thanks to Chitra, Wasantha and Rashi. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and even had fresh flowers. We had everything we needed and more. The food was healthy and so delicious. Wasantha organized a great tour of the tea plantations for us on short notice. And then the next day took us on a full day hike which was truly an adventure! We had such a great time and learned a lot about the local area. Can 100% recommend staying at Woods Hut!

This is truly a lovely homestay. The atmosphere was cozy. Shan and Ms Daphne are lovely hosts. They were very accommodating and kind. Shan had some wonderful recommendations for things to do around Nuwara Eliya. Ms Daphne's food is exceptionally wonderful! The rooms were clean and comfortable with a breathtaking view. I would recommend this place to anyone traveling solo!

Beautiful Homestay run by beautiful people. A lovely warm host family that fixed the holes in my shirt, sat about chatting and cooked us a delicious dinner and breakfast. Great room with big cosy blankets on the bed. Great location with a 3 minute walk to the Tea Factory (get there early to see the whole process). Highly recommend staying here.

We highly recommend to book Heidi’s home if you want to experience Sri Lankan Homestay, Home food and Hospitality… the owner is a super awesome woman… very cooperative and kind enough to help us with all required things… she also guided us on places to explore around in Nuwara eliya and Ella… Breakfast was fulfilling and completely home made… the house is so nicely decorated by her that u can spend some time in exploring and snapping it…Must visit Heidi’s home for Home stay experience

Such a lovely host family, beautiful view, clean room and walking distance to the waterfall. Great breakfast and we could also order dinner online from the city centre to the house which was great!

This was a comfortable homestay with lovely hosts at a great price. We were offered tea/ coffee on arrival and the family’s pets are very cute. It’s within walking distance to Victoria Park and also Gregory Lake (approx 10-20mins).
