I cannot thank the owners enough of this guest house. I was involved in an incident which resulted in being admitted into hospital, and the owner went above and beyond to make sure I was okay, checking in with me at the hospital and bringing me food. I’ve never seen such kindness in all my life. The location is amazing and the room was a good size with a nice clean bathroom. They sorted a bike out for me no problem, and are just the most amazing people! Thank you again so much! Definitely recommend!

Chatau and his family are incredible hosts. We arrived on Christmas Eve and were invited to a Christmas dinner that they prepared for the whole hotel. He helped us during the week we stayed there with everything from renting scooter to surf lessons for a good price. He is genuinely interested and wants you to have a good stay. Even though the accommodation is quite close to the busy road we couldn’t hear it from our room. The accommodation is also very clean, spacious and totally worth the money. Would definitely stay here again if going to Midigama. Thanks again for everything!

We stayed at the tiny royal Palace as a family of 4. They had arranged 2 separate rooms with double beds and access to a common kitchen. The location of this property is walkable distance from a small beach and 10 min tuk tuk ride from unawatuna Beach. The owner was very friendly and was happy to take us everywhere which was very helpful and convenient for us. His charges were very affordable and he was always available for us whenever we needed it.was extremely He took us to both the beaches and for meals at various restaurants for the 2 days that we were there. The last day, his wife made a very authentic and scrumptious lunch for us which was loved by all! We highly would recommend this place in unawatuna tucked slightly away from the regular touristy accommodations!

Turtle Lamp Villa in Unawatuna is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a true Sri Lankan experience. It’s located about a 15-minute walk from the beach, and you can easily get a PickMe or Uber for convenience. The villa has four rooms, while the friendly owners live downstairs with their dog. They were very welcoming, and the owner's wife prepared delicious breakfasts for us every morning. The owner also checked in regularly to ensure we had everything we needed. Our room was spacious and clean, with a separate kitchen, where we could cook or make coffee and tea. The private balcony was a great place to enjoy breakfast, and the bathroom had a shower (though the water pressure was a bit low, it added to the authentic Sri Lankan atmosphere). We loved getting to know the owners and experiencing their hospitality. There are also several restaurants and bars nearby for lunch or dinner, and we enjoyed fresh coconuts and fruits from local stalls. A lovely touch was the welcome drink – fresh coconut from their garden! If you're looking for a peaceful, authentic, and friendly place to stay, I highly recommend Turtle Lamp Villa for a relaxing getaway.

I really loved the family that did their best for me every morning and made a vegan breakfast specially for me. It was a big room with a fan which was perfect at night. They've been very kind and I've had the feeling of home for the 3 nights I spend here. And the chameleons that I saw during breakfast where a very pleasant surprise. Thank you for everything!
