A magnificent place in the middle of the nature. They had a beautiful garden with many flowers and herbs. We had a dinner here and it was the best dinner we had in Sri Lanka. We booked it in advance to be sure. We also bought the breakfast to go for Yala safari. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful and they were fluent english speakers. They had parking for our rental car.

Amazing experience at Lake Front Yala Safari. The room was extremely comfortable and very clean but the best thing was the family that run this guesthouse, very kind and welcoming. The lady cooked a spectacular dinner, the best I have had since I'm in Sri Lanka, the daughter is a very smart girl who speaks very good English, she explained to me about the Sri Lankan culture and traditions of Kataragama. Last but not least I could book the safari through them at a very affordable price. I recommend this place 100%

The room was spacious, with high ceilings and big comfortable queen-sized beds. Everything was clean and had everything we needed for a short stay. Great value for the price! You can also ask to store your food in the fridge if needed. But what really made our stay special was the amazing hospitality. We arrived a bit late and the owner was very kind to drive us to a nearby restaurant that was still open. He also helped us find a driver to another city late at night and was incredibly helpful throughout our stay.

It is a nice place with a good bathroom with a toilet that doesn't get wet when you have a shower. The staff were helpful as we were leaving at 5:30am and they had food ready for us as we were going on the safari.

Location in jungle few km outside Kataragama, Beautiful Romantic Naturel Clay House quiet place - very clean big room, nice fancy bathroom separate also clean and nice design. They've made everything for nature products wich is wonderfull. The Lady Host gives very good service hospitality she is kind friendly helpfull. Lasanthe (husband) has tuktuk and drive you in very friendly way. I like to come again and reccommend high on the list. From Lady I got some tea and fruits

They are very kind and accommodated us with little notice. We'd highly recommend this homestay. The family is sweet and the room is very clean and tidy with AC, mini fridge, kettle, tea, mosquito net etc.

The host family is very nice. The young daughter speak a very good english and looks eager to train it and talk about their culture and traditions). The food I had was really good and they also greeted me with a fresh welcome juice. They let me help and Watch the dinner making and it was very pleasant. The rooms are big, very clean and Probably recently renewed (the a/c system seemed pretty new). The area is out of the city centre, but it is ist to get there in 20 minutes by walk.

I loved the authenticity of the place and the people here. Chilled backpacker vibes. Roberto is a great host ensuring a very warm welcome to guests offering tea etc . Loved the rustic architecture , very much in tune to surrounding Nature complimented with the animals on site. Lodge is set by the river so you can go for a dip and cool down. And ample space for you to relax, read and do yoga.

The restaurant building is fantastic. It sits above the tree tops in the breeze. It is beautiful. The staff are all terrific. Fantastic food. Fantastic guide. Great host and staff.

What a beautiful place! Lovely hosts, great food, such a relaxing vibe. Music in the evening, if you want: playing percussion together. You can book your safari from here, the driver we had was awesome, not rushing through the park, providing us with lots of information about all animals. One of the nicest resorts i have ever been to, defenitely a must see!

Very kind and helpful family. Super clean and large room with working AC. Located about 15-20 minutes from town by foot. Only few restaurants/eateries around so better to buy food in town before coming to the homestay. The family can provide lunch/dinner upon request: the vegetable curries are very much recommended. Good local breakfast included. Nice view of the lake across the street. The family can help with booking a safari, though I had already made other arrangements.
