Amazing pool, beautiful view from our room, staff are the most kind and helpful people. They even let us do our washing for free, and they also randomly made us coffee and gave us cake! It was so good here that we actually changed our plans so we could stay an extra night. Just exceptional.

Differnt like in Sri Lanka the pictures doesn't show You how great is the place. Clean, comfortable, nice smell, european standard. Great working air condition, HOT WATER. Even that the place is difficult to find don't worry about - the owner will guide You from the orientation point - shop. You can reach the point with the car even if it's upway. The owner is really good person. He will tell You about all wat's worth to see around. He will help You with the organisation transport without extra charge fir him. There is an area with kitchen, living room with sofas and tv for use for everybody. But the most important thing is the view. It's realy 360. We can adwise the room with the big windows on the corner where You can enjoy the sunrise from the bed. The host, the wiev, quality and price makes this place the best to stay in Kandy for more than one night.

Sudesh and his family truly embody what hospitality is all about! 🙌 Our first stop in Sri Lanka was Kandy, and I remember calling my family back home to rave about how amazing our host was. From the moment we arrived, Sudesh and his family made us feel incredibly welcome. They were always there for us—whether it was arranging a tuk-tuk (sometimes even for free if someone else was going in the same direction), offering great recommendations, or treating us to a delicious spread of authentic Sri Lankan dishes. Communication was always easy and fast, and Sudesh was available by text or phone call anytime, which really made us feel safe and at ease. The room was so comfortable, the washroom spotless, and the air conditioning worked perfectly—everything was just spot on. But let me tell you about the food! If you stay with Sudesh, *do not* miss the lunch! I can't stress this enough—it was honestly the best meal I've ever had, and I might have gone into a food coma afterward. Sudesh’s mom went above and beyond, making extra dishes just for us, and they were so excited to share their cooking. It felt like visiting family who are eager to spoil you with their best recipes. The complimentary breakfast was also incredible—I've never seen such a generous spread! Unfortunately, we were only able to stay for one night, and I really wish we could have extended our time there. I absolutely recommend staying here if you're in Kandy. It’s peaceful, beautiful, and you'll be taken care of by some of the kindest hosts you could ask for. 100% would stay again!

Our hosts were the kindest people. I felt like I was at home with my own mum I was so well looked after. We had a delicious breakfast every morning and they even invited us to sit and have a drink with their friends they had over one evening. Beautiful property that felt like our own little oasis. The room was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. The shower was excellent too. Breakfast was served at your requested time and the owner offered to cook us a Sri Lankan breakfast that was really good. The location does require a tuk tuk in and out of Kandy central but you can down load the pick me app to get local rates to keep costs down. Excellent stay and highly recommended.

The room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed. There was hot water and the wifi worked well. Breakfast was delicious and there were so many options which you could choose from. Location is great, really quiet and pretty but only 15 mins away from the city and tuktuks are very cheap. Sri was so welcoming and willing to help us with anything that we needed. Jaye’s Homestay was a great property to stay at. The owner, Jaye was a great host who kind and attentive. He prepared a delicious and giant Sri Lankan breakfast. Highly recommend. The rooms are spacious and the shower has good water pressure. The view from the shared balcony was lovely. The walk to the city, whilst up hill is only 10 minutes away maximum. Very good stay!

Cham and his family are incredibly great hosts. He supports you wherever he can, is always there for you and available, helps you organise trips and simply makes you feel at home in his homestay. I found this to be a lovely homestay. The place is filled with wood carved artwork, it’s like a museum. The host family is very kind, will help you with what you need and work their magic in the kitchen creating delicious meals for breakfast and dinner in my case. The also organize tours, which I joined and that was money and time very well spent. The homestay is a good 10 minute walk to town center, but it’s a relatively quiet one along the lake (north side).

Great staff, nice view and located close to the city center! Book a tour on forehand via withlocals.com and look for a tour with host Buddhima. I promise she'll elevate your stay in Kandy and let you taste the best (street)food, fruits and spices. The rooms in the homestay are large, clean and the breakfast is good!
