Very clean and comfortable. The location is great if you’re arriving by train or bus, just a few meters from the stations and also super close to the beach and many restaurants and markets. The host is super friendly and helpful with everything you need, although he is not in the accommodation he’s always checking in via what’s app to make sure everything’s ok and we have everything we need. We couldn’t ask for anything more to be honest.

Great choice! It's about 1-1,5 kms far from Hikkaduwa centre (turtle beach, coral reef etc.). You can also reach it by train from Colombo. The coast is 150 m-s far, 1-2 mins on foot. There is a tuc-tuc (funny cheap) stop, and regional bus stops in 50 m, supermarket in 200 m-s. You can reach the villa on a small, 30 m alley from the road. Pretty, quiet area. Usually the coast is separated from the road by a row of buildings, but almost in front of the alley you can find a direct path to the beach! The houskeeper is extremely kind, fulfills all your wishes. The house is beautiful! The rooms has own balcony and a kitchen! With microwave, water boiler, rice boiler, small fridge, cutlery etc. There is a bigger, common outdoor kitchen on the ground floor. The room mostly has intercontinental wall plugs! There is LCD cable TV (with USB connetor for movies) and free safe box. Beach/pool towels are provided! Air conditioning is modern, clean but there is a ceiling fan too! The bathroom is big, clean. Never runs out of hot water. The building is professional, new-like, there are no DIY/home made solutions like at so many other places. Equipped with own generation in case of blackouts (once happened for 15 mins). Neighbourhood is kind (same villas), you feel safe. Gate is closed for the night, the villa has cameras. No perfect protection against mosquitos, so prepare with creams/sprays. The pool is incredibly clean, temperature is perfect, and useable 0-24! They can do exchange, provide cheaper airport and local transfer, has reliable contact for almost everything! We 100 % recommend Athithi!

We booked the Deluxe Double Room with Balcony and were very satisfied. The room was very clean and spacious. It had a large bed with a comfortable mattress. Everything we needed was nearby – just a 1-minute walk to the grocery store and coconut vendors. Across the street, you can buy delicious fresh-cut fruits. The beach is only a 3-minute walk away. There are many cafes, restaurants, shops, and surf schools in the area.

A real gem of a homestay, right by the water. You can literally walk barefoot from your room to the beach. Spatious rooms, amazing food and really quite: all you can hear is the waves breaking on the shore. The host, Viraj, hiw wonderful family and his assistant, Indiga, will make sure that you feel like at home. Highly reccommended.
