10/10 stay. From the moment we arrived we were so warmly welcomed by Hemaka with a cake and iced coffee, we knew we would enjoy our stay. He made sure our entire stay was seamless and helped in every aspect possible. The room was large and had incredible views over Kandy and the hills. The water filter is a big win if you run out of drinking water. And the pool is the perfect temperate and so scenic. 5 minute walk down the hill to Hideout cafe - delicious breakfast or lunch. A massive thank you to Hemaka again for making our stay in Kandy so pleasant.

Very nice house with beautiful little garden. The room is furnished with great taste, the garden is full of flowers. The family is super nice and friendly, they treated my daughter as their own. They also organize cooking classes, which I absolutely recommend: it is taking place in an authentic kitchen with traditional utensilies, and is the owner's mom who teaches you about spices, local vegetables, and how to cook some very tasty Sri Lankan meal. She is great! Breakfast is an amazing selection of local dishes, and it's plenty. Our host was also very nice, ready to help with anything, explaining about culture and what to see in Kandy. He helped with our laundry, organized for us tuktuk to the citiy, and took us to the train station when we were leaving. The whole family was very nice and attentive to our every need. The location is outside of Kandy, a bit far from the center, but because of this it is very quiet, and it's surrounded by nature. I highly recommend it! Even if you don't stay here, try the cooking class!

The couple who own / run this place are the pinnacle of Sri Lankan, buddhist friendliness. This artfully decorated villa immediately feels home as soon as you step inside the premise. The hotel room is so beautiful, and the breakfast is absolutely delicious! A beautiful place, recently opened and has been set up to a very high standard. Huge, comfy bed, silky soft sheets, brand new bathroom with the best water pressure I’ve found anywhere in Sri Lanka and also plenty of hot water, free toiletries. Excellent air conditioning. There was a kettle and range of Ceylon teas provided in the room too - perfect for my early morning brew whilst looking out at the sunrise from bed. Also has a big TV with worldwide channels although I didn’t really use it, too busy exploring! The rooftop terrace has stunning views across Kandy, very nice to sit out and watch the sunset here. The host was super welcoming and his wife made the most delicious breakfasts. Went the extra mile when I didn’t find a 3 wheeler to the station in time for my train, and dropped me off in his car! Thank you Pravin and team (& sorry if I’ve spelled your name wrong!) Location was fab, a little up hill out of the busy city centre, so super quiet and yet very easy to travel to all the attractions in the area either on foot or by 3 wheeler. Will definitely stay again next time in the area, great find!

Absolutely amazing Homestay! The room was clean, modern and comfortable with incredible views from the balcony. The hosts are incredible! They are friendly and they really make you feel like part of the family. All the meals I had there were super delicious. It is a bit out of Kandy so it is really peaceful and quiet. I loved it. I also think this would be a great place for people who want to do remote work.
