My recent stay at Gampaha Heritage was truly wonderful, with warm hospitality from the staff who went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed, making me feel genuinely welcome from the moment I arrived. The guesthouse is immaculately clean and well-maintained, with spotless rooms and a fresh, tidy atmosphere that made for a very comfortable and relaxing stay. The peaceful surroundings, combined with the quiet environment, created the perfect place to unwind. The rooftop area was an added delight, offering a lovely space to relax and enjoy the view. Breakfast was excellent, featuring a delicious Sri Lankan-style spread with great quality and variety. The location is ideal for a tranquil escape while still being conveniently close to Gampaha city, making it easy to access shops and restaurants. From here, you can also travel easily by train—whether pre-booked online or with regular tickets—to destinations like Ella, Anuradhapura, Trincomalee, Hikkaduwa, and Mirissa. I highly recommend Gampaha Heritage for anyone looking for a peaceful, comfortable, and enjoyable stay in Gampaha.

The host and his family are exceptionally friendly, helpful and extremely hospitable. The location is perfect for anyone arriving from the airport heading inland, since it is close to the railroad (without being close enough to hear it). The town is the perfect place to acclimatise to Sri Lankan life and heat, and gives you a unique opportunity to explore village life off the beaten track. The rooms have everything you need and the breakfast is overwhelmingly delicious. All in all, we would recommend going here straight from the airport, rather crowded and noisy Colombo

The host and the care taker were very flexible with check in and check out times and process. Close to Gampaha town centre but not yet in the town centre so has idyllic nature to it. It is an old family home carefully converted to a guest house. Selva the care taker was kind and attentive.

An absolutely exceptional place! The breakfasts were delicious, fresh, and varied – everything prepared with great care. The accommodation was excellent – clean, well-equipped rooms with access to filtered hot water, which is a big plus. The staff deserves the highest praise – very helpful at any time of day or night, always smiling and ready to assist. We truly felt cared for and relaxed. The private room was very nice, with AC, free toiletries, a towel, and a small table. I liked the boho design. The common areas, including a balcony and sunbeds, were great for relaxing. The Wi-Fi worked well, and a kitchen with free tea and coffee was a bonus. Quiet stay. Close enough so you could walk to the airport.

The hospitality and the patience from our wonderful hosts was amazing. We arrived very late, and they were still very happy to accommodate us and help lift our heavy cases up the stairs. The home was large and surrounded by nature. The view from the balcony was rich in plants and trees. We had an authentic Sri Lankan breakfast which was delicious. The property is located very close to the airport which is extremely convenient.
