It's a very nice and cosy place if you want a private room. It's very close to the hirikiteya beach, just a few minutes by walking. The location is really good, because it is not in the busy area but at the same time it is so far from the centre/busy area. The owner is very friendly and helpful! I highly recommend the place 👌

My partner and I recently enjoyed a 4-night stay at Parasole Doré, and it was absolutely perfect. Our room was immaculate and beautifully designed, offering stunning ocean views through bifold doors equipped with one-way glass for added privacy. The property had a wonderfully spacious and relaxed atmosphere that made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was a daily highlight, with a variety of delicious options that changed each morning, keeping things fresh and exciting. However, the standout feature of our stay was the incredible staff. Everyone we encountered was warm, friendly, and eager to assist. A special mention goes to Roshan, whose attentive and thoughtful service ensured our stay was nothing short of perfect.

- Very friendly staff. Owner and his family are great people. It felt a little bit like living with a local family which I really enjoyed. Owner supports you with everything you might need - Nice location just a little outside of the busy area. Beautiful garden. All good - Room had everything I wanted and for a good price

A perfect little stay - everyone was very friendly and welcoming and gave us lots of recommendations. The room had everything we needed and it was all clean. The ice tea on arrival was super yummy!! Very close to turtle beach and only a tuktuk away from the main beach

This is a very nice place. I would describe it as a bed & breakfast (not sure what it's labelled as on Booking). The owner lives in a separate house and guests stay in a new house with three or four rooms. Each room has a separate bathroom. It's all very roomy and the plave has a nice garden. It's also clean and the style is somewhat colonial with dark tree furniture. Wifi is OK but not great and that's the case wherever you go on Sri Lanka. I could do some work without problem and my daughter could look at Netflix. So, it's ok. The owner is very helpful and friendly and they have a washing service. The location is off Dikwella main street so it's quiet and it takes 5-10 minutes to walk to the beach across the main street and through some deserted plots. Since Surf Bay Villa is in the eastern end of Dikwella it's also close to Hiriketiya beach. Its possible to walk the distance but I recommend using a tuc tuc. This beach is nicer than the beach in Dikwella. Surf Bay Villa is definitely a clean, nice and friendly place to stay!

That was the best home stay experience in Sri Lanka. It is located a few minutes away from the beach. Place is exceptionally cosy, clean and comfortable. Room was just beautiful with nice bed, private bathroom with hot shower and all facilities you can imagine. We used the kitchen for cooking our food which was great after long weeks of traveling. Big thank you for the host family - you made our stay here simply wonderful. We recommend this place if you plan to stay in Dikwella.

best place to be! great location for those who want quiet, highly maintained accommodation at reasonable prices. the breakfast was amazing every day, was diverse and I think it was the best dishes and local food i have eaten in sri Lanka. the host family was super nice and even taught me how to make Sri Lankan food. the view is so beautiful and there is a beautiful garden where they bring the mangoes for breakfast. thank you so much

Humble, friendly and ready to help 3. House converted to a homestay and dorm rooms. Nice big terrace where dorm rooms are location. Quiet and a lot of open space 4. Tea/Coffee maker and refrigerator available for use.

It has some kind of cozy homely vibe . travelling solo and found a good host family in a foreign country made me feel like home. The behaviour of the Host couple is amazing, they are so friendly and I had the best Srilankan food made by Nimal 👌🏻💕
