My sister and I loved our stay at Evergreen Villa! It’s the perfect place to explore Sinharaja Forest Reserve. The family and staff were incredibly friendly and always ready to assist. We used the villa as a base for our activities in the forest, which we booked directly through them. We did an evening/night walk—an experience we highly recommend—and two day-treks in the jungle to spot wildlife and admire waterfalls. Our guide, Mr. Ruan, was simply exceptional—extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive to our needs. Our room was spotless and spacious, with a breathtaking view of the river and forest, along with a lovely private patio—perfect for relaxing. We also enjoyed vegan meals prepared by the family at their restaurant. One of the highlights of our stay was spending time with the wild dogs roaming the property, especially a mother with her three playful pups—they truly added to the experience! After our morning excursion in the jungle, the owner kindly allowed us to do a late check-out and take a shower before leaving—something we truly appreciated. We highly recommend Evergreen Villa for its excellent location, warm hospitality, and unforgettable nature experiences!

Amazing stay which we will never forget. We stayed for 3 nights and had really nice time here. The owner helped us to arrange our whole programme in Deniyaya. He arranged the tour to rainforest Sinharaja (he ordered tuktuk and guidance), also he took us to the tea factory Lumbini Tea Valley which was really perfect experience! He also showed us local waterfall where we swam and he showed us all the local fruits and spices. We tried cinnamon, cardamon, guava, passionfruit,... Breakfast and dinner were absolutely delicious. Probably best curry we had in SriLanka. Also pancakes with coconut and honey were unforgettable. We recommend this staying because this guy will make your stay unforgettable and exiting!

Location beautiful. Tucked on a hillside overlooking the jungle. Quiet and peaceful. Our host, chanaka, was very helpful and enthusiastic. He was open for any adventure and hung out with us for a night of music, dancing, and laughs.

Really magical place. The owners are unbelievably cute and prepared us amazing dinner and breakfast and we’re really really welcoming. The view of the room and the sitting area was stunning. It was hard to leave as they really make everything to make you feel at home. Absolutely recommendable. Booking shows the property on the map. On the point on the main road there is a little way down in the forest and that’s where the rainforest view guesthouse is. So if you arrive at night and you can’t find it straight away - just call the number in the profile and they come pick you up.

Very comfortable stay. Spacious and clean rooms with all amenities. Premises maintained well by the very obliging caretaker Jayasinghe, who's cooking was delicious. Quite a large pool which was clean and very inviting. Overall great value for money.

The owners were very nice people and we had plenty of space for the family with three kids. It's at the edge of the rainforest, and everything is green around the house. The breakfast was perfect, even my choosy daughter had good variety. We had a rainforest tour with the owner's father, and this little old man was the best choice we could make. He spotted all the animals on the way and simply couldn't stop explaining everything on the way, and finally we ended up having the tour two hours longer than planned. If you also go with him give our greetings to him. We would return any time.

I had an amazing time her, Bandula the owner and the guide tok me on a very nice hike thru the rainforest an he does everything he can do to make sure you have a good time. after the hike you get very good food from he’s wife and very good service from he’s son. This is the place to go if you want a good experience in this rainforest area.

Sinharaja Forest Edge is situated right on the edge of the UNESCO site Sinharaja Rain Forest. The property offers complimentary transportation to the rain forest from Mederipitiya Village.

Such a nice place at the edge of the rain forest. The staff and owners are so nice and fun in a friedly way, so you really feel like home. They arranged us a rainforest tour with their inhouse naturalist, which was really great and insightful. We found the pool amazing at this property. Feeling like we are in a little oasis🥰
