Location, food, nature, people. Everything was absolutely fantastic! First of all, we were in the jungle, close to plantations with rice fields in which peacocks live (!). It looks amazing. Nelum organized a trip to the jungle for us. His brother Achi was a great guide so we saw a lot of animals: hanging parrots, kingfishers, monkesy, snakes, spiders, chameleons, lizards and a civet (!) on the terrace. The sounds of chipmunks, birds, monkeys and an elephant (?) woke us up in the morning. Sinharaja Rest offers really delicious food. Don't hesitate to buy dinners even if you bought BB only. One more thing: the hotel is built on the rock which can be seen inside!!!

Amazing location with view to the family garden/tea plantation and the river, many birds and wildlife passing by (saw a few peacocks flying in front of the balcony which still surprises me!).The couple is super caring/attentive and serve amazing, diverse and plenty of food. The room is quite big with a cozy decoration and plenty of seating and a lovely balcony.

What an experience. The room was beautiful and perfect for the three of us. The bathroom felt very luxury and the shower was very good. The family prepared a lovely dinner of curries for us which was one of the best curries we have had. The breakfast was also lovely and we all left very full of food. The rainforest tour was amazing and swimming under a waterfall was a real highlight. This trip is a must

Everything is great. Mr. Bandula, the owner, who is truly exceptional and a respected figure in Deniyaya town. If your plans include staying in Deniyaya for the purpose of exploring Sinharaja, he is undoubtedly the best and coolest guide out there who knows every single inch of Sinharaja. Their warm hospitality, home made food and the cozy atmosphere at Eco Villa truly make it feel like a home away from home. Highly recommended.

Delicious food in the restaurant to fair prices. Very peaceful atmosphere in the restaurant and very nice and kind restaurant manager! Housekeeping does a very good and efficient job, rooms a nice and clean. Great location right at the entrance of the rainforest. Not a huge resort, which makes it a nice place to calm down.
