The location is unique in its closeness to nature (the entrance to Sinharaja Rainforest just a 10-min walk by foot) and at the same time being very fresh and modern built, with everything necessary available in the room. Stunning view on the river and the opposite-laying tea hills and jungles directly from the terrace; peacocks walk freely on the property. Overall, a nice place to stay, and a very friendly personnel.

If you want a 5 star resort, this is not your place! If you want a river view with birds, a friendly chef/manager and a clean, basic stay- stay here! Fan, air conditioning and a clean room with hot water. No other people were staying; this suited us as we could enjoy the view, birds and relax. The boys organised cold beer for us- ask the price, give them the $ and you have beer. Overall, a great place in a secluded spot. There might be water on the floor after a shower but this. Dies overnight. If this sounds great, go for it! The more expensive places are probably similar but we could have stayed have stayed longer. Thanks to Chef, Manager Akila. Very good spotter of birds and a friendly person with lots of local knowledge.

My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights, wish we could’ve stayed longer! The villa is super peaceful, the hosts are very kind and welcoming, on hand for anything you need and the rooms were lovely and clean. We have been travelling for a while now, and this was the most peaceful, welcomed and at home we felt in a very long time. The bonus was the incredible food. We ate Sri Lankan food for breakfast, lunch and dinner as we wanted to experience it properly with some spice and the chef exceeded expectations. The food was absolutely incredible and possibly the best we’ve had in a very very long time. Everything was fresh, portions were extremely generous and super flavoursome. We recommend the room with a balcony as you can relax there for hours watching the birds pass by and they get pretty close. Very special. Thank you for being such great hosts and making it special for us!

The owners were very nice people and we had plenty of space for the family with three kids. It's at the edge of the rainforest, and everything is green around the house. The breakfast was perfect, even my choosy daughter had good variety. We had a rainforest tour with the owner's father, and this little old man was the best choice we could make. He spotted all the animals on the way and simply couldn't stop explaining everything on the way, and finally we ended up having the tour two hours longer than planned. If you also go with him give our greetings to him. We would return any time.

The owners were very nice people and we had plenty of space for the family with three kids. It's at the edge of the rainforest, and everything is green around the house. The breakfast was perfect, even my choosy daughter had good variety. We had a rainforest tour with the owner's father, and this little old man was the best choice we could make. Atmosphere, Vibe 👌 Its right next to the Forest Entrance. TikiriBanda is the man! He helped us in many ways to make our stay a comfortable one as well as the other staff members. Food is average can give 7/10, and bit expensive for locals. So its better to book it full or half board. Overall 7/10 for everything.
