An exceptionally clean and spacious room in a quiet and green area outside Colombo. The bed and pillows were lovely and comfortable, which made for a restful night. There was a fridge and small kitchen area in the room, with a kettle, cups, plates, and basic utensils. The room had a TV, fan, and air conditioner. The bathroom is modern, with a lovely hot and cold walk-in shower. Soap and shampoo were provided. There was a large lounge and dining area separate to the sleeping area, available for my use. There was also a lovely veranda / balcony off the bedroom, with a table and 2 chairs to sit on. Gayathri was friendly and welcoming, and we had a lovely discussion upon my arrival. Breakfast is provided, but I left too early in the morning to enjoy this lovely addition.

We were fortunate to stay in one of the newly refurbished rooms with a separate shower room. The decor was stylish and contemporary. Good wifi, very comfortable bed, and very quiet even though our door opened on to the main courtyard where guests gathered to relax or eat. Our room and facilities were spotlessly clean, and the toiletries were high quality. Our concierge was extremely helpful, setting us up with the PickMe app so we could access cheap, reliable tuktuks, and recommending a great local restaurant where we could sample authentic Sri Lankan food. The whole property has a lovely ambience, relaxed and friendly. There are three breakfast options available, and there is also a rooftop restaurant (Poke 65) which serves poke salad bowls, Italian dishes and several other options. The waterfront is 100m away, and Colombo centre is about 350LKR by tuktuk (approx $2AUD). A lovely boutique hotel and great value for money.

It’s a wonderful house. I didn’t realize it was a home stay, but was very grateful it was for my list night in Sri Lanka. When I walked in, music was playing and the water sounds coming from the indoor garden’s pond immediately made me feel like I had stepped out of the busy city and into an oasis. Relaxing house with lots of nooks and crannies, areas to curl up and read a book. I wish I had spent another night.
