A Beautiful, serene and magical place. Waking up here at 5 a.m. to see the fog roll over the mountain Infront of the glassy lake is a dream come true! The host was very kind and helpful and provided us a space to park for our rental car. The facilities was also very clean and the kitchen is complete for any type of food preparing activity. There are also blanket heaters provided for sleep. A traditional house which is comfortable to stay. I do hope there is some communication or guide a bit when we arrive/leave because we are not sure if it was ok to just barge in since the host was not around to receive us, but it was not too much of a problem since we did informed him we would arrive late and he came later that night to greet us and ensure we are settle in. Overall it was an experience that i will never forget staying there and I hope to come again in the future.

Incredible experience. Maybe the best one yet! We spent the night playing card games with the two owners as well as another guest. Although the owners don't speak English, communication was always easy as they have a device to immediately translate from Japanese to English or any other language and vice versa. They often helped us plan our itinerary for the next day. The beds and comforters were so comfortable and we could see Mount Fuji from our window. There were bathrooms on both floors but the shower rooms are on the first floor so plan your baths carefully. Would love to come again.

The host was super friendly and accomodating! The whole place feels really homely, you could easily spend more time here! The cats are super cute. There is not that much to do right around the property but you can rent a bike and there are great bike paths. If I ever decide to go to somewhere near Mt. Fuji again I would definitly come here.

The location was great. A minute walk to the lake and 3 minutes walk to the bus stops. The owner was very friendly and helped guests to solve their problems. This is the most friendly hotel I've had during my stay in Japan. And a super plus, the owner speaks English! :)

The owner was very kind and helpful, a really nice man. The rooms were very clean, and the shared bathrooms were spotless as well. I’m usually hesitant about shared bathrooms, but in this case, it was great. The kitchen was well equipped, and you can use the shared space, including a large kitchen area. The location is very peaceful, just a short walk from the bus stop. We decided to rent a car for our trips, which turned out to be a great choice. Buses do run, but for our needs, the car was much more convenient. Right next door, there’s an open convenience store; a bit further, you’ll find a supermarket, some restaurants (though they’re not always open), a lake, and even a view of Mt. Fuji – as long as it’s not hidden behind the clouds.
