Super spacious room and bathroom, even though a bit dated but we didn’t mind. Great value for money, friendly staff and a cute dog at the reception. Close to the station. Nice kitchen and common areas. I’d definitely stay again.

The location is ideal—just a short walk from the Sunflower Ferry port and conveniently close to the city center. The lobby offers a welcoming atmosphere where you can enjoy complimentary hot and cold drinks, play retro video games, read books, or simply unwind while watching anime on TV. The room was exceptionally spacious, one of the largest we experienced during our stay in Japan.

It's about a 15 min walk to the nearest bus station but I loved how it was next to a park and a very quiet area. It's still a walkable location to Beppu Jigoku.

+ hotel receptionist is super cute, helpful and friendly + rooms were big, beautiful and cosy + shared bathroom, but private toilet and sink/mirror + towels for Onsen for free + everything was super clean + common kitchen was well equipped + location was very convenient, close to bus station Beppu Kitahama + convenience stores, restaurants, ATMs nearby

Beautiful old house in traditional Japanese neighbourhood. Public bath house directly across the road about 5 steps away! Throughly enjoyed using that and the experience of it. Highly recommend and all great value for money.

It's much better than the rating suggests. The room is cheap, fairly large, and very comfortable, and it's very well located in the city. The only bathroom is a bit rundown, but you get tickets to go to the onsen next door every day. There's a rooftop and a kitchen. I recommend it.
