Great location less than 5 minutes walk from either train station on a quiet street. Dorm room had only two beds and was spacious. Nice common area.

Everything about my stay was so wonderful. Hiro and his adorable assistant, Marie, are attentive, kind, and welcoming. I got to hear different stories of Hiro's life as well as recommendations that I never would have known about otherwise. His care for the guests is so apparent, including turning the heater on every morning in the kitchen, being so responsive and flexible, and consideration for any needs. The house itself is beautiful with tatami mats in the bedroom, a zen garden, a mini onsen, and surrounded by ancient trees and nature. The kitchen has a fridge, microwave, kettle, and dishware, and Hiro-san provides towels and slippers. He also prepares the mini onsen for guests every night as well as shuttle service to Tobu and JR stations whenever you would like to leave or come back to the house.

Nice, warm and homely. Only a small space but it can only fit 4 guests anyway so it’s a perfect size with two showers as well! The beds were also quite big with plenty of space to put your things. It’s a bit away from the train station but you can catch buses or walk about 15 minutes.

Our stay was absolutely amazing ! The host is very kind and wants to help you for everything. She cooked amazing meals for us. I would like to come again ! Room was nice and warm. Location close to train station is very convenient !

Marieko is a marvellous host. It is like coming home your the parents. She even took us back to the station with our huge luggage. Staying at her house is not so much about luxury or amenities. It is more about being well taken care of. Location wise only 8 minute walk from Tobu Nikko station so a good base to explore the area. Good price quality ratio.

I stupidly thought im paying for the whole property but it turned out its like an airbnb so you are given a room only. It was still an awesome stay though because the host is sooooooo sweet and welcoming! She cooked us awesome breakfast in the morning that consists of a lot of fruits. Fruits in japan is really expensive. She also drove us to and fro from the station. Will totally come back and stay again because of her hospitality

Not far from Tobu Nikko station. House owner, Mr. Yoshi, is pretty helpful. He provided good suggestions and recommended some nice restaurants. And Mr. Yoshi got his own photo studio in the house, in which he took several awesome pictures for us! For those who want to cook themselves, it's convenient to stay here. Supermarket is only 3-min walk from the house, and the kitchen has everything you need! (Even a Vitamix blender!) Though no breakfast is included, there are free mini donuts, tea bags and bananas offered all day long.

Highly recommended! Ken, the owner, is super nice, welcoming and helpful. The house we stayed in was perfect for three, although 4 would be OK. The quality of materials and finishings are excellent and it was spotlessly clean, you immediately feel at home. There was no cooker (stove top) but the small toaster oven and microwave along with the refrigerator were fine for us. The location is unbeatable in our opinion, off the main street but not more than 10 mins walk from most areas. Ken might just be your best Nikko tourist guide without you expecting it, he took the time to go through the main things we should see on the map and gave us recommendations of where to eat.

Mariko-san was an extremely great host! she was super helpful in explaining and recommending things to do and visit in Nikko and even provided a sumptuous breakfast for us! location was perfect as well and it was a great experience!

Great hosts who went out of their way to make our stay very comfortable. Spotless house, quiet location, beautiful touches to make it feel homely, an awesome bath that stays hot and fills automatically- the best bath I have ever had! Hosts had information including timetables for buses, shows at edo wonderland at their finger tips. Walking distance - 5mins to bus stop and only 10mins tops to train station. Host also took us to the train station in their private car - very friendly, polite and helpful. Loved our stay and wish we stayed longer.
