A hidden gem, a home away from home. Cute little guesthouse that was welcoming and had comfortable beds. My children loved it here! At this point in our trip they were homesick and this stay was like being at home! There were kids books, some toys and they even got to pick up a guitar again! They have missed their guitars a lot so this was an added bonus. Very good location. Himeji is a little gem town, it’s so much more than a castle. We enjoyed exploring the back streets. Had the best food of our 18 day trip in cute little hidden restaurants. Don’t regret our decision to stay. The castle and the gardens deserves half a day of exploration at the minimum.

My wife and I were dealing with a heavy family loss and our hostess and the overall experience at this Bettei made the loss much easier to cope with. I could not have asked for a better experience. In addition, the unexpected connection to Himeji Castle greatly increased my appreciation for my visit to the ancient fortress.

Staff is friendly speaks English and Japanese. Place is really clean, they provide fresh towels everyday. I stayed for 1 week half work half leisure, was cheap, comfortable and safe.

I'd like to share our experience at Kimono Hotel. We really enjoyed staying at your Japanese Style accommodation. The ambience inside was calming, and it felt very comfortable. It was very quiet and private. The attention to detail was lovely. The gesture of the small gift was welcomed. The place was clean and tidy. The lighting and the option of changing the mood and tone by changing the lighting was also special. There was a lot of space, kitchen, bathroom, toilet, 2nd living room, bedroom, toilet. The facilities were great- all working well, clean and useful. The location is perfect- so easy to access transport, shopping, eating and also tourist attractions. Being positioned in the mall also was a big advantage - it was always under cover even when we walked outside. It's a special place, and I think people will appreciate that it is different in a good way. Once again, thanks for hosting us at your lovely Japanese Style hotel.

It was a unique experience. We never did indoor camping before. It was awesome. Great location: 1 step from the beach. No crowds. Great host, very helpful! Perfectly clean.

Authentic Japanese home fully restored by a lovely couple of hosts. John also does fantastic tours and has extensive knowledge to pass on. We had a lovely time and will definitely go back.
